"Johnny Hockey" devolved into "Frustrated John", then he put a ring on his lady and super evolved into "Johnny Sideburns".
Now he's dangling and sniping and doing thing I ain't never seen.

Pumped for Mangi to finally score. He could have had 3 this game alone and scored on the ugliest chance, but it was a hard work goal after 5-10 minutes of constant pressure and chances.
I was so ready for Leivo to score the OT or shootout goal to complete the "call out prophecy".
I think that OT took years off my life though. I forgot how stressful it is.
Oh, and Hail Satan. Praise Markstrom.

It’s infuriating and I think it must be something I. Our water as it has been this way since I got my driver’s license. It was run by the government back then. Just hot potatoes all the time.
This game doesn’t go to OT if Backlund doesn’t panic in his own end. It has to get better.

I suspected as much. There’s plenty of guys who are better in the SO than you’d think. Like the Schlemkat.

I hope they give Bennett a chance with Gaudreau and Monahan. If he can play the way he did tonight, that's the type of player they need on that line.

It's fun to see Johnny playing with this type of confidence again. Looks like he's having fun playing hockey. Beauty snipe by Tanev to open the second.

BSD is very good against WPG.
I was frankly surprised Rittich hasn't started one against them yet given their respective records against Winnipeg.

Johnny is ridiculous right now. He looks as good as ever. Dominant.

Yup hes dangerous in the shootout. I guess peoples argument is Johnny was just too good tonight to not put him in the first 3 shooters

Love to see them rise to the occasion and fight to get back in the game! I thought that late tying goal might turn it again.

Gaudreau’s legs are back, his skating is dynamic in a way it just wasn’t last year.
Monahan looks great and way more engaged.
Tkachuk and Backlund both looked horrible, worst game I’ve seen Backlund play in years.
I’d probably start with these lines tomorrow night:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Bennett
Dube - Lindholm - Leivo
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane
Lucic - Ryan - Simon

Only caught the last few mins but super entertaining and the Flames looked good. Gaudreau’s goal was insanity oh my and even Monahan’s release like Hrudey said was super slick.

Not entirely sure the Flames deserved two points there, but I’ll take it.
Need to seriously tighten up in their own zone and learn how to get the puck out. Would help to hit the net on their shots too.
Tomorrow should be interesting.
