It's kind of silly, but I really like "Los Espookys". The characters are all enjoyable and it's just irreverent goofiness that makes me smile watching it.

I didn’t think the crown could portray a human being to be a bigger piece of garbage as they did the queen but then came Margaret thatcher. Yikes. This show thrives on portraying rich powerful people as awful humans and since everyone on this show is rich and powerful it’s basically just a show about horrible people.
I started For All Mankind - an alternative history where the Russians landed on the moon first. I liked the first show, and it is renewed for 3 seasons. Is it worth sticking with? I like all NASA and Apollo stuff.

I am surprisingly enjoying YOU on Netflix. It's ridiculous, but entertaining. I really think Badgley's acting is underrated; his little facial expressions are great and it must be tough to pause for the internal dialogue without looking stupid. I find it all quite witty, and it keeps me on my toes which is rare for TV shows now (I feel like I've seen everything)

I'm at the beginning of season 2 and finding it a bit of a slog after enjoying the first part of season 1. I trust it picks up?
It slogs for sure. Towards the end of season 2 it really starts to pick up and then it just goes from there. It took me 6 months to get through season 1 and half of season 2. Then I binged the rest in 2 weeks because I was hooked.
I would say it all pays off. But you gotta be a real space nerd to love it I think.

I enjoy the Crown. I enjoy the references and context of historical events mostly but I also like the character portrayal. My interpretation is human beings with flaws vs. pieces of human garbage.

I was maybe a little hyperbolic and I like the historical references.
But I struggle to think of a single character that I like. Can't recall a television show I've ever watched where that was the case.
If it weren't for the neat historical references and viewpoints, I would never watch a show filled with such dislikable characters. Which is especially impressive in a show that can change cast and characters so much from season to season. It isn't like it is the same two or three people season after season.

Succession.

I only just saw this comment, so sorry on the late reply, but Thatcher being awful is only new to those of us outside the U.K. To support this idea, here's a song by Elvis Costello discussing the damage of Thatcher and how he can't wait until she's dead.

I knew Thatcher was hated, I thought that was common knowledge everywhere outside of the US. I just didn't think they could portray her as worse than anyone else on the show, who they already portrayed as horrible people. Not only did they succeed but they knocked it out of the park.

Objectively, she was worse, which I agree is pretty hard to show with the royals as a reference point.
And yet, I am somewhat sympathetic to the royals at times because they are prisoners of duty and convention. Of course the rest of the time they are spoiled elitist snobs who are totally detached from reality. c'est la vie.

Yeah this is the point of the show. I think it does a good job of vividly highlighting their flaws while at the same time opening an occasional window into their humanity and allowing for moments of sympathy.
If you come out of this thinking the royal family are monsters, you'd have to be fairly pre disposed to think that way going in IMO. Yes obviously they are born into wealth and privilege, but some it would seem are more able to handle it with an amount of empathy and dignity than others (Prince Andrew, looking at you).
Thatcher was definitely at an extreme end of the political spectrum. For some that makes her evil incarnate.
