Really. Who comes in to this thread to #### on the team?

Nice win. Good job protecting the net front, Markstrom was great and the D compete was where it needed to be

Nice snipe, Johnny

And I got a kick out of Backs, it was Gallagher on his knees and Backlund wasn’t easing up on his shot

Ya. Montreal is good. They probably should have won if it wasn’t for our legit all star goalie. But Montreal being good is completely disconnected from watching these guys float around for stretches for no reason and you know what? It’s been years of this, so spare me the bs Captain Flames defender.

After a closed door meeting after game 6 of the season it should be guns a blazing for 60 minutes. Not 40, 30, Montreal is good and have to provide a list of excuses, 60.
looks like its not just me

Let me know when somebody dominates Montreal for 60 mins...or a team other than the Sens for that matter

Glad they won. Concerned about the lack of 5 on 5 goals though

Yes because it needs to be 3 periods. That’s how long the game is. A lot of fans are just used to 40 minute efforts because that’s what this core has been for 5 years.

Good 1st, bad 2nd, bad 1st half of 3rd, good 2nd half of 3rd

Pretty even game IMO

Liked the effort tonight, Montreal is far better then I thought they would be. Markstrom did what a legit starting goalie should do. Was it perfect, nah, was it a huge effort step up from the last game, yeeeeeuuuup.

Better game overall, Johnny seems to have gotten his vision back.

This isnt out of the ordinary for the flames. Is there a worse Oct/Nov(this year jan) team in NHL history? I'm in no way convinced we are out of our current funk yet. Markstrom had to basically have the best game of his life for us to win tonight.

I think Ward needs to re unite Backlund and Tkachuk with Mangiapane. Leivo can stay with John/Sean because they dont do anything at even strength anyways.

Give Dube to Lindholm and throw big Lucic on that line.

Bennett can play with Ryan and Nordstrom on the 4th.

Short list... Allain Vigneault 😉

The Flames got absolutely dominated at 5v5. Not sure how you can be happy with an effort in which the scoring chances were 36-19 for Montreal and high danger chances were 17-4.

Those are horrible numbers. Markstrom was outstanding and he should get total credit for the win.

Just because the Flames visually looked like they were more emotionally involved doesn't mean they played better. You still gotta play good hockey along with showing more emotion.

If that's how you honestly feel after the team squeaks out a win in a hard fought albeit sloppy game... why do you bother to watch?

That just doesn't sound like a fun mentality to have as a fan.

Now that’s what I call a goaltender dual . Both were fantastic. What the f### was Vancouver thinking by letting him go?

Good luck finding a game in this division where a team dominates for 60 minutes do you even watch hockey?

Yeah, the second was ugly, but they pulled it together and got the win. Wasn't pretty at times, but they stopped the losing skid and that's the important thing. Now they just need to build on this win.

Flames were the better team for 2 of 3 periods and they won...go figure

Montreal's first regulation loss of the season, sorry it wasn't 10-0

It’s not about “dominating” but I can see you struggle with reading.
