Bennett had a good game tonight. Plenty of chances. It would be nice for him to play like this more often as it could boost his value if he can get on a roll.

not particularly surprised; i thought Bennett was the likely choice to be exposed in the expansion draft.

After 5 seasons with the Flames, I am comfortable in saying he is what he is: a guy that is good for around 25 regular season points, who has another gear in the playoffs, but is still in the bottom six.

His value is probably for another player who is another reclamation project... it terms of draft capital, I'd honestly be surprised if he fetched more than a 3rd round pick.

Flames should be in no real hurry to trade him. There is no upside to trading him right away.

Well if he wants to get traded, he can’t play too good, otherwise we won’t want to trade him anymore.

Bennett is a proven playoff performer. He has more playoff points than McDavid.

Even if he does nothing in the regular season for a team, a contender will want this guy on their roster to make a playoff run.

I think the return may be nicer than some expect.

Wish him the best, but unfortunately he’s been the Flames single biggest disappointment.

It's been over a year since Bennett & Hanifin were almost moved for Hall & Vatanen.

(A lot of) Flames fans refuse to believe Calgary has identified these players as expendable. (because Bennett is a high pick and was so good in playoffs and because Hanifin is young plus has a great contract)

I believe the Flames are still seeking that Josh Anderson type and a Alex Edler type. (size on top line and veteran experience to groom the youngsters Välimäki & Mackey on D)
