Just prior to that block, Nordstrom was in a board battle in the other corner and was flat on his butt when that scrum broke up. Then he raced over to the opposite side to get in position to block the shot.

Pretty impressive hustle.

I thought it was a risk for him to run off to the bench after his stick broke (which will probably be debated which approach is best), but he was able to get off the ice with no harm gone, given the long change.
