Thats the gamble, some people may see it as done, others still see growth. If it even hits $450 ill have over doubled my money. Tomorrow is also still only a gamma squeeze and not the short squeeze im waiting on.

I didn't suggest it was done. I said it has paid off, because it has. It might go further, it might go a lot further, and it might already be done. Time will tell.

Yeah we're in agreeance then. The way I look at it, if I make $50 or $50 000 its still money I didnt have to work for

Definitely - if you have almost unlimited resources. When you short a stock, you do so on margin. If the stock price rises enough, you will get a margin call. You can't just wait it out.

And the volatility of GME is off the charts right now, so the chances of you getting a margin call are very high.

For further clarity, you can't be offsides on a margin call. If you don't immediately cover, the broker will liquidate your position in order to cover.

I think it depends on how much that is to facilitate clearing for a couple days, vs. them completely fcking up with their margin allotments.

If they had a ton of users buying high on GME in margin accounts, it could get ugly for them. I'm sure their investors will bail them out though so they can get through their IPO.

Unless you're the typical Robinhood customer and all your positions went down 50% in one day. I'm not sure what their margin requirements were for GME last week and this week, but I'd be very curious to know.

I was way too late on the GME, but I Yolo'd a bunch of Blackberry @ $17.30 CDN hoping it follows suit. Not expecting $500/share, but if it hits anything close to $50, it's free used boat time.

I've had such a good year on the markets, even if I lose a couple grand on it, I'll just shrug it off cost of doing business.

It sucks for the people at RH, and there very well may be fraudulent manipulation here, but it isn't materially affecting the price of the stock, unless RH has a huge chunk of the volume of GME. Every other brokerage is still trading it

It was RH, Interactive Brokers & Webull financial, plus rumours of other platforms with restrictions.
