Humor wise, there's a rabbit hole on Youtube based on the following:

"Say frog/fork"
"####!"

After that, you can watch the lemon eating stuff.

Personally, I think I want to teach my kids to communicate politely first and crass later.

I rarely swear, which is a shame because I'm exceptionally good at it. I find that there is a difference between casual swearers who just throw it in for no good reason, and people that use swearing like a weapon.

Then there are people who are so effective at swearing that its like a weapon of mass destruction.

Creepy is a great descriptor for anti-swearers. It seems like an artificial façade - like Stepford Wives or Pleasantville-esque. Like they're trying too hard to be too nice or too inoffensive. Fataing weirdos.

While I generally agree, there are exceptions. Like it's definitely funnier to call someone a See You Next Tuesday instead of the actual word.

I'm fascinated by vulgar words in other languages. Some of them are quite descriptive in translation.

The "c-word" is a bridge too far for me. I don't use it. It's just too vulgar for my tastes, whereas I wouldn't say the "f-word" or the "sh-word" are vulgar at all.

Even if it's said in an Aussie accent?

Swearing for emphasis = great
Swearing out of laziness = a little too smooth brained
Replacing a swear with a non-offensive word = embarrassing and creepy
Replacing a swear with a more insulting phrase = god mode
Attempting to replace a swear with a more insulting phrase and sounding like you're 10 = ####in yikes

Of course not. It's adorable when said by an Aussie.

If you're British/Australian you can carry it off though. Personally, I love it.

I am glad that I amused you. Seems like you need it in your life after such a dumb thing to be annoyed about in the OP.

Wondering if there is a correlation between the tired "did-this-really-need-a-new-thread" people and people who don't swear...guessing there could be.

"Does this need a new thread?"

Everyone: "#### yeah."

Smart play. Many wrinkles on that brain. Deep crevasses.
