Bad news for treliving is that Ward will be his final coaching hire and he’s not gonna get it done. There were some experienced guys available and we went this route. It’s unfortunate for Tree that they will be leaving together if Ward can’t figure it out.

I know our pp has been great so far, but it kills me to see us just run the same play over and over during a pp when it's clear the other team has figured it out. Have to be able to shift a little bit in game to make the most out of the time.

On a positive note, Johnny and Monny have both looked very good after the first 5 games. I especially appreciate the effort Monahan is putting in; he looks much more engaged than most of last season.

I think Burke was right on this one, turnover after turnover, though they were playing better the Flames did continue to turn the puck over. Valimaki dumps it up the boards under pressure, Lucic isn't there to retrieve it, puck turns over, sleepy coverage and quickly its in our net for the GWG.

Season is very young, lots of time to win some games!

Thought JG was great except the turnovers, he just has to cut down on those. Hanifin and Tanev are a great pairing and looked it again tonight.

Lots of passengers in this one though.

Lindholm, Leivo, Ryan, Simon, Bennett etc...

But Backlund? Just awful. And although he scored a goal....Lucic just isnt NHL level anymore. Hurting the team.

Bad night for the rookie as well....that's gonna happen.

Lindholm got robbed of a goal off a pass by Johnny and Tkachuks tip for our first shot was actually sneakily good. Backlund is old and had a crappy game and Valimaki isn't a forward.

Regardless of that, Bennett has continually been a cinnamon ring muncher in the regular season (with a handful of exceptions). Why are you putting out a plug with 8 goals in his last 57+ (edit: reg season) games to give you a shot at winning?
