Why was the Jets goal called off? Just saw the highlights, wasn't clear.

They claim the stick contacted Kostinem's glove impeding him from making the save.

Has he even made a save with his glove since entering the league...?

And I am not convinced that the contact happened before the puck arrived - in other words, it did not impact his ability to make the save, he wouldn't have anyway.
Another example of how, if you slow the replay down enough, you'll find things to complain about (see: Tkachuk)

He actually has been playing quite well.
Yesterday he looked way better on the top line than Kassian has and generated a lot of opportunities with his size, speed, hard work etc. He also loves to shoot the puck.
I don't normally care about these things but he is a player I have on my dynasty team so I’ve been paying attention to him in particular.
The coilers might actually have 5 good forwards on their hands.
Considering they only have one good dman and a starter who is more of a backup goalie they still have a lot of work to do.

I think he has been decent as well but just because he is better than Kassian doesn't mean he's been good. Imo McDavid offensively creates space for his linemates. Even nuge at a ppg on Edmonton probably translates to 40 to 50 points playing away for McDavid
Good for Edmonton though as he signed 2 years. They like to play guys with McDavid resign them then demote to lower lines and production falls off a cliff.
Yamamoto and puljujarvi might as well play themselves into big contracts while Kassian and neal collect 9 mil on 4th line. Chiasson is up this year but he got a good deal playing time with McDavid as well

JP had a decent game, when highly motivated and full of piss and vinegar. Cool. Let's see 10 games before we decide that he is suddenly a better player.

Pretty much. The review took a long time and you could just feel the officials thinking that the game will be a runaway if they allow the goal to stand and the jets get a PP. So the Oilers got a massive gift from the league and managed to eke out a victory. Parade route has been planned.

JP could win the scoring title and I'll still think he's a loser who plays like garbage.
Edmonton has no good players. Even McDavid sucks.

This should be a mandatory part of every Grade 2 grammar class:
Ok kids, let's discuss the differences between;
Edmonton has no good players.
Edmonton has no good players.
Edmonton's players are no good.

You sure? I watched maybe 3-4 of the Oiler games and thought he generally looked terrible and lost.
Playing with McDavid makes him look pretty good though eh, who'd have thought.
Everybody gets their turn in the McBooster seat though.
Being better than Kassian in that spot does not take much.

I watched the game last night and he is creating lots of havoc out there and making room for Conor. He honestly looks like a baby giraffe out there crashing into and bouncing off of everything. I think it is working now because it is new, but once coaches see it a few times and come up with a plan it will be easy enough to shut it down.

Lol JP essentially playing a Ferland role with McDavid. Let's see how long that remains effective.
Giving the puck to McDavid then hitting things. Oh yeah, dude has the NHL figured out.
