I was going to say if you thought Hamonics pass to set up Gio last games was a beauty wait till we see what Brodie has in store.

At least T.J. made a few good ones the right way too during his time as a Flame. It will be weird to see him on the other side.

Oddly specific prediction for a game that isn't happening today...

Oh I see we’re bashing Brodie already in here. Sigh.

Dude there was plenty of Brodie bashing while he still played here too. It's not a prerequisite to love any player who has ever worn the flaming C.

For sure he had warts in his game but all in all when Brodie wasnt being coached by Gulutzan and was playing side by side with Gio we had an amazing player that we drafted from the Sutter era which is a rare commodity. I wish brodes the very best with the Leafs because above all be was decent man and did decent things while he was a Flame and he did the city and the jersey proud.

That said I hope he loses when we play him!

Hope the Flames have a great game. Also sorry to hear George Armstrong passed away so the team should be ready for a half hour program honoring the former Leaf captain.

For everyone complaining about the flag jersey, how would people know the Calgary Flames are located in Calgary, which is located in Alberta, which is located in Canada? Very important people know this.

In other news, afternoon game after a five day break? If this is the Flames team I know and love, you may as well accept the loss right now. Add a motivated Brodie, and it could be one sided.

I wish it was retros and blasty every game. But I don't even notice the flags anymore until someone mentions it. Same with the helmet advertising.

I actually like the flags. Not for aesthetics; the blue Alberta one is especially terrible. At least the Canadian Flag is color coordinated.

The reason I like them is sports in inherently about tribalism and community building. It's about identifying with people and they bring people together.

Not in any way discussing any specific politics or to the extent I support or disagree with any party or position, but I (perhaps romantically) thing it is a positive thing if people are reminded that Calgary is located in Alberta which is located in Canada - regardless of where in Canada they live. So many things remind us of why we are different, its nice to be reminded of what we have in common.

I hope we soundly beat Brodie and the Leafs, but I also do miss BigBrodieFan posting here. Maybe we see a BigBrodieFan return to go along with TJ's first game against the Flames? It's going to be a bit strange seeing Brodie on the other side...

I did enjoy watching Brodie in 3 on 3 OT.

Maybe we will see that again today.

Sorry I misread and thought the game was from Toronto. Carry on.

What's the word on Matthews? He should probably rest that injury for 3 more days.

Markstrom keeps us in it after a slow start from a long layoff.

Flames get their feet moving and win 3-1.

Worried about this one. 5 days off between games is not good. It is also ridiculous, so par the course in this league.
