I didn’t see the entire game but when I watched, Gaudreau was flying and not the turnover machine he has been.

Flames Win, Oilers lose.

Tonight all of Edmonton sings the blues. It's really wonderful to see them continuing the suckage right where they left off.

Imagine if Sutter let Kipper and Regehr walk as UFAs in the 2006 offseason

Of course this is the season the Flames FINALLY move that goddamn Dodge Ram out of the concourse when it makes no difference.

Markstrom saved the game in the first period with his many great saves. That seemed to give the Flames confidence as they owned the last 2 periods. Could be a huge difference maker down the road when games get tight.

Valimaki is quickly impressing me with his play. The same with Nesterenko on the PK.

Nice to see the Flames generating some 5 on 5 chances.

At the end of those 5 days the Nucks and the Oilers will still be behind us in points.

So far I’ve been wrong about the Markstrom and Tanev signings and im happy to eat crow on those signings. Term is still concerning on both deals but both guys brought the calm and stability that this team needed on there backend.

Happy to see them really come out hard in the second as in the past they could have wilted after being dominated in the first, and third was strong effort as well as they didn’t give Vancouver much.

I’m actually not happy about having a break now. These guys need games to get their legs under them and into game shape. Worry about them being a bit rusty with 5 days off.

I watched it on PVR, so I'm sure this was said in the game thread.

But damn, that was a nice pass Hamonic made to Gio on his goal. Nice to see him producing for the Flames early in the season.

Dominant win, the team is fun to watch

Markstrom has been very good. Only the Flames had the last touch on the goal he let in.

I got a kick out of Tkachuk returning a glove to the face of Myers with 16:41 left in the third

He couldn't hear the interview because the PA was screaming his name for some reason

Given that Valimaki and Giordano scored the Canucks' goals, I'm going to go ahead and call this one a shutout. 10-0 over two games.
