What is this strange lack of horror I feel when the other team has a scoring chance?

I don't think the shot clock is working. It showed the Flames only had 7 before disappearing.

			Alright. Solid first period.
But we knew they're capable of that. Lets keep it going boys!

Agreed.

Thought it was one of his best periods in a while. Might just be me but felt like he was deferring to Gaudreau a lot less.

Usually he would always have dropped the pass to Gaudreau on the half wall on the PP.

Instead he rifled that beauty cross ice pass to Lindholm that opened up the play for the goal.

One cheek for 5 on 4. Both cheeks for 5 on 3.

We should get a laxative company to be the official CP sponsor of 5-on-3 PKs.

That was a good back and forth period. Neither team dominated.
 - Excellent penalty kill (silly penalties by Benny and Backs)
 - Markstrom!
 - I really like the lines so far today
 - Plenty of small good plays.
 - We got through Lucic’s big giveaway and our 5 on 3 PK out of the way without giving up goals!

That is why Sam doesn't always get big minutes...game was going perfect, Vancouver had barely touched the puck

Came in here expecting to see Bennett get #### on for his bad penalty and for Backlund to get much less hatred for an even more careless penalty.
 Not leaving disappointed.

Nestorov can really skate the puck. He has no shortage of confidence that's for sure. Also really liking Tanev's defensive game.
On the Canucks side I really was not impressed with Schmidt that period.

I have never seen Valimaki play before....
all i can say is WOW ... looks like we have an amazing defenseman.

Like the lines and hustle of the skaters, lets hope it continues in the 2nd.

Penalties happen when you play aggressive.

Yeah, bad penalty. Backlund took one too. Excellent damn PK though!

Your anti-Bennett garbage is tiresome.

GFG!

One of these games, his derriere has to be pinned to the bench for the rest of the game when he takes yet another of those penalties he is famous for.
