What a surprise. Promoting Bennett brought that line alive.

Keep it together. Show me a 4th line of Lucic-Ryan-Simon as well, and the lines will be as they ought to be.

4th liner Bennett has all the scoring chances this period. Good to see

At this point I'm all for any shot that is on target.

Lucic line comes out after another dominating shift by the Bennett line. Odd line selection to try to keep momentum going.

Bennett looks great on the wing; Ryan looks much better at centre.

Swapping Bennett and Ryan improved both lines.

Bennett isn't a NHL center. Ryan is.

Pretty funny how these player narratives are changing by the minute.

This is why we watch the full game and then analyze.

It's weird to me that just a couple years ago, Frolik, Backlund, and Tkachuk was one of the best lines in hockey. Now Frolik was waived and Backlund is down to the 3rd line, and I would argue Lindholm-Tkachuk makes the top line.

Does anyone know why Simon was scratched? Seems like a surprise.

Bennett looks great with Mangiapane and Backlund. Period. Nothing to do with position.
