I reckon there will be lots of mistakes in the first game of the year with no preseason. Hopefully the Flames come out better in the third.

Pretty typical Flames game so far:

- start with lots of pep!
- take a lead into the 1st intermission
- come out flat in the 2nd period
- have an overpaid veteran pass the puck directly to the opposition for a goal against
- get into a bunch of penalty problems
- go into the 2nd intermission tied

Play Ryan at centre and put Bennett with Mang and Backlund. The Flames spent years not playing Bennett at centre, but now all of a sudden they can’t put him on the wing?

Just reward the guy for a good playoffs for once. Baffling.

...Cassie keeps saying Lucic-Bennett-Nordstrom is good/going to be effective. Nordstrom shouldn’t be an every day player, eeesh.
