Alright first impressions.
Tanev is as advertised, smart defensively.
Andersson.... boy is he ever going to have a good year
Valimaki, holy crap. Smooth as a botoxed ballsack

Umm... if you were to compare that period to last season as a whole, that would've been a top 5 period of hockey for the Flames.
That was a phenomenal first period

That could have easily been a 5-0 period, the jets even had a couple bounces go their way.

Score flatters the Jets. Could easily be 5-0 right now. Flames playing well and really dominating the play other than for a few minutes here and there.
Great play by Forbert to save what should have been a sure Andersen goal and led to the only goal for the Jets.
2 more periods like that and the Flames will be looking good.

These four line make the Flames relentless. Having two legit top lines is such a nice change of pace.

Man, outside of Laine cherry picking at the centre ice after Forbort's desperation save, that was as close to a perfect opening period as you could expect.
Also, is the audio behind for anyone else?

K so I’m pretty happy. Great period.
Can we keep the foot on the pedal though? Seems like that’s been the Achilles heel with this group.

If we can just find an upgrade on Nordstrom, we're the best team in the division.

Yes, the audio is delayed and it's very annoying. The production team is asleep, but I love our broadcasting team.

Our D is so balanced, it looks significantly better already. Just my opinion.

Very good period from the Flames. Impressed with Tanev. Less impressed with Lucic and Bennett.
