TSN loves their Jets - 5 players ranked in the top 50.
And 16 from Cdn teams.

I mean, Jake Wheeler, come on. Two years ago? Sure. Now?
I am taking Lindholm before Wheeler and also before Connor, though that one is close and debatable. Laine too.

Lol, I would not trade any of the following players one for one for Draisaitl.
Pasternak
Hedman
Eichel
Point
Josi
Petterson
Marchand
Rantanen

Am I the only one who finds Dougie Hamilton extremely overrated? I mean yeah hes got a monster shot and he puts up points. But all I remember of his time here is being beat like a mule on many a GWG against or more infamously in the penalty box. I really found him to be a net negative player on this team. I would say the trade that we shipped him out in was an overwhelming win for us.

These types of lists typically lean very heavily to recent performance. I am more inclined to rate players based on larger bodies of work, but Hamilton and Draisaitl both had great years.

Flames have never replaced Hamilton's shot from the point. He's a goal scoring defenseman that's big, can skate well, and play top paring minutes. That's a very valuable commodity. That said this is more of a flavour of the week popularity list than anything.

Based on last year before he went down? Easily. He was outscoring them both lol
Based on the last five years? Meh.
Just depends on how much weight you want to give to half a season.

Maybe Marchand because he's turning 33.

JT Miller is on this list. I am not sure what to do with this.

Yeah, that was one of the most baffling - one career year and you're thrown on the list. One season hitting 60 points (out of 8)

List won't load for me but I'll say this
Eichel is as good as two Draisaitls.
MacKinnon is arguably a more valuable player than McDavid if you're trying to win.

It's a good thing depth is a thing that matters. See St. Louis.
Oilers missed the memo on this.

MacKinnon has a 1.35 pts/game in the playoffs since 2013/14. Wow, that's unreal.

Would just like to point out that in training camp this week the "best player in the league" scored a highlight reel goal... then watched his team lose 4-3 in 3-on-3. This is playing against the Edmonton Oilers lesser half. TSN, like Edmonton, is no good.

Lol one rough season for Gaudreau removed from top 5 scoring where he tied MacKinnon if I recall correctly bumps him to 49th below Hall?
Alright.
1. MacKinnon
2. McDavid
3. Crosby
4. Eichel
5. Pastrnak
6. Hedman
7. Draisaitl
8. Matthews
Is how my list would start.

No, I don't think he had a great shot from the point at all. What he had was a lethal wrist shot and scored a lot of goals with it from the top of the circle range. In my top 50 defencemen league wide but not my top 50 players.

Embrace it because it's a meaningless list.
