Would you want to try to recreate the Shadow War though, it was such an exceptional concept. Two god like races that saw their jobs to mentor and help the younger races through drastically different measures. The Shadows weren't pure evil, the Vorlon's weren't pure good. They were two parents that were almost like Children at time.
The later Earth War stuff was good, but it always felt slower and a bit less interesting.
The ship design in Babylon 5 was amazingly good as well, and the effects at the time were in my mind very good.

Yeah, no. No way that show works without its original cast, especially Will Smith.
Agreed. I don't like the idea without an uncle Phil. But an Uncle Will intrigues me. If similar to how Cobra Kai had original actors, I would totally be down.
Babylon 5 is a tough one. There is enough basic lore that you could make some structural changes and really send it's quality into the stratosphere. More of a concentration on politics, archaeological discovery and class struggles (all of the things that they touched on lightly because the audience wasn't ready for it). You could plan out a five to seven year series that would be must watch.
The hard part would be casting. Andreas Katsulas and Peter Jurasik gave almost irreplaceable performances. Steven Brust and Bruce Boxlietner roles would be hard to recast but not impossible. The rest of the cast was good, but could be replicated.
All in all, it would be up to J. Micheal Straczynski if he would want to do it.
On Twitter, people are always asking JMS if he'd ever do more in the B5 universe and unfortunately Warner Brothers has complete control over it but won't do anything with the property. They won't sell/give it back to him, they won't license it out to other media outlets for things like video games or more novels.
WB seems uninterested in B5, but don't want anyone else to have it.

I'd settle for Crusade getting a serious shot.

Another weird position for WB. They don't have an answer to Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar, or even some of the more nichey properties. Babylon 5 is ripe, and Capt is right that the Shadow War is a great storyline. I would be excited for each episode even if I knew what was coming.
Crusade was a big letdown for me. They never caught their groove. It turned out to be inferior to Lexx, which was another one ship series at the time.

Seinfeld. I’m still choked the show never came back. They were only sentenced to a year in jail!
Check out season 7 of Curb Your Enthusiasm. The whole season revolves around Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld putting together a Seinfeld reunion. All of the major cast from Seinfeld are involved, playing themselves. One of my favourite seasons of any TV show.

Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace - I doubt anyone could capture the brilliance of the original episodes but the world needs more of Garth Marenghi’s unique storytelling.
