I don't mind that Oilers jersey apart from it being an Oilers jersey, but the Canucks one is awful. Is it worse than the original? Maybe not, but it's still really bad.

Are these jerseys limited edition or single batch only? Meaning that once they are sold out they are gone?
I’d love to get one, but will probably want to wait till the end of the season as I did with the heritage classic jersey and get it at a discount from the full price

I would fathom a guess that these will not be a single batch only, the NHL and their teams need as much money as possible.... Even if it is only from Jersey sales.

On the flip side, Fanatics has furloughed a bunch of staff. I know some teams are already sold out and are being told there won't be more made (Devils for example). That could change but if you really really want it, I'd say get it now.

Thanks for a tip I picked up indirectly, I noticed there is a discount code for the Flames store www.flamesport.com
I just got a Blasty RR jersey with names on for $225 + tax. (It's on backorder though, don't know when it will show up...)
The discount code is FLAMESSTH20
Don't know when this discount code will expire. So hurry if you are looking to get a Blasty jersey (or other items) at a discounted price.

Kinda dumb of them not to show the opponents on that schedule.

Lets skip the alternate days and make them reverse retro instead

So, one game against each opponent in the reverse retro and one game against each opponent except Winnipeg in the alternates.

Agreed.
It is only 5 games, but what is the point of wearing last year's jersey as an "alternate" at all? Just move on. We've finally got beautiful new away whites, new reverse retro, and the classic primary colours. Yet we're still going to be rocking the flags? Is it even for sale (outside of the clearance rack) anymore? So strange this hockey club sometimes.
Fashionista criticisms aside, I'm starting to get a bit tingly knowing that we'll be watching hockey again in a week. They could wear pink and green for all I care - I'll still be watching.

Once fans are back in the buildings (and sports bars, too) I can see a surge in demand. The whole idea of having team apparel is to be seen wearing it in public.

Scorpion interviewed Ryan Popowich a while back and I believe it is a bit of tribute to the late Ken King. Apparently he championed the flags and really fought the league on it.
Scorp can probably chime in more here and provide more detail. Either way, I love our jersey set now and I haven't been able to say that in years. In a perfect world we would have:
1. Retro Red
2. Retro White
3. Black C Alternate (no flags)
4. Blasty Alternate.
Flames have done a great job in this regard. As long as they keep the retros and blasty around, I'm fine with them trying anything on an alternate or 4th jersey.

From what I understand, there's a bit of a process to go through if you want to bring in a new alternate jersey after straight-up getting rid of it.
I think the Flames are almost certainly going to be refreshing the alternate very soon. Keeping an "alternate" in the rotation allows them to swap out designs much more easily.
My expectation is they want to keep the black "C" around — they view it as a pretty strong part of the brand (rightfully so, I think). Wouldn't be surprised to see them evoke and update the 2004 Iginla-era design with a new third. Perhaps with the 2013-era alt shoulder patch

I’m done with the alternates and am glad they will be gone come next season. Using them the bare minimum signals to me the organization is ready for something new too.
Full-time retros is finally here and I’m happy to just keep cycling in a new alternate and/or 4th ever couple years.

What's the reason for not allowing teams to wear reverse retros in January and May?
Nice to see the Flames going the bare minimum on wearing the alternates. Hopefully next year there is a new Black C jersey or at least a return to the 2004 template.
Also, I'll add the reverse retros have grown on me. Still not a fan of Blasty but the overall jersey and kit looks good. No issue wearing them 6 games per year.
My favourite part about the jerseys though: 28 away games in the gorgeous white retros!

If the Flames really hate the alternates now, they should just wear them for the first 5 home games and get it done and over with... But I guess there are other rules and restrictions..
