Trevor Lawrence is declaring for the draft. As a Jaguars fan I'm very happy, but also as a Jags fan, I am scared of what the head office might do with that first overall pick.
You know you don’t have to stay a Jaguars fan, right?

I'm assuming this website (https://www.nfl.com/injuries/league/2020/POST1) might be incorrect but it shows a different schedule for this weekend. I wonder if this is the plan for the NFL because of the Covid situation? TB/Wash on Sunday night and Put/Cle on Monday night.

I certainly wouldn’t put it past the Texans’ owners to make the worst possible decisions, but those articles are really just wild speculation.
Not Mike Florio, he'd never blur the line beyond fact and fiction, mainly to allow him to spew how own half baked ideas and run with them for a couple weeks, hoping he gets one right.
Or, has he met a leftist or pro-NFLPA soap box he'd ever turn down.

I have been one since day one of the franchise's inaugural season. No super bowls, but I have had some fun teams to watch and have seen some great players play.
I also enjoy the fact that it came about naturally when I was younger and I didn't just cling on to a perennial favorite like a few friends I have.

In regards to the Jaguars, my favorite stat about the franchise is in 1999 they went 14-2, and lost in the AFC Championship. All 3 losses that year were to the Titans

I admire fans that stick with their team and don't instantly gravitate to the flavor of the day that's having success. I was like 8 years old when I tuned into a Sunday game to see team wearing silver and black with Jim Plunkett throwing deep balls to Cliff Branch (I think the Chargers were the opposition) and from that day on they were my team for better or worse and over the decades there's been a lot of worse.

Just curious as to whom you think the best is? Not necessarily disagreeing, just wondering if you have seen something in others who might make them better. Honestly I'm not sure. Partially because I don't know which QB's have declared and which ones have not. It's almost impossible to predict future performance so who know for sure. For me right now if it came down to Lawrence vs Fields I'm probably taking Lawrence. Both are great talents but Lawrence has proven (to me) he is character person and someone I want on my team if I'm drafting. Fields is more of an unknown in that regard.
Lawrence - probably not best because stuck in Jax.
Fields - if anyone could point out an Ohio state QB that ever amounted to anything that would be super
Wilson - BYU latecomer, no strong opinions but this ain’t the mountain west anymore son
Trey Lance - Jordan Love 2.0 from what I understand and it’s tough to trust the school that put the curse of Carson Wentz upon us
Trask - one year Florida wonder, maybe late first rounder, I thought he looked good but talk is that he’s a project or that league isn’t high on him
Am I missing anyone? Think that’s your top five in the draft.

Not really. Something about Lawrence just doesn't really jive with me. He hasn't impressed really since the national championship 2 years ago.

What a bizarre take.
Hasnt impressed for the last 2 years?
I mean...in that time
23-2 as a starter
6800 yds
67% completion
60 TDs
13 INT's
766 yds rushing for 17 TD's
Part of 77 Tds in 25 games....not impressive?
I think he is the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck. He's 6'6", there isnt a throw he cant make and he has done nothing but win....oh and he just turned 21 a couple months ago.
He is by far the best player in college football and will no question go #1.

Hear Hear! I respect fans that go with underdogs and stick with them.
I had a partner that switched from the Bears to the Packers. Who does that?

I said I have a feeling. Doesn't mean I'm right or anything. I am also not a fan of any team even in the running to get him or who would have to play him regularly so I don't really have a horse in the race.
Maybe its the fact he is likely to be drafted by a team that will be terrible and continue to be terrible with him for his rookie contract. I don't really know.
With all of the Watson issues, would it be worth it for Jacksonville or NYJ to trade the pick for him? Would the Texans go that route or is that too steep for Jacksonville/NYJ to pay? Proven QB versus the unknow

If Texas offered Watson and a half dozen firsts maybe jax thinks about it. Maybe. Keep in mind rookie contracts and fifth year options, cost control, injury history etc.
Honestly if Jax did anything other than scream laugh hysterically and slam the phone down so hard it registered on a seismograph every employee should be fired and subsequently banned from the NFL for life.
