Also CBJ kept 17 players out of practice for precautionary reasons

according to Friedman that is the plan.

Also so it is clear, so far it is only the Dallas Stars' schedule being revised.

I'm sure this is going to be a common thing once the season starts as NHL teams have larger rosters than NBA teams which means more chances of teams running into issues.

I have a feeling that players will end up in team mandated bubbles to make the season happen. You can't trust people to not mingle if unsupervised.

It'll be really interesting to see if there are any long-term issues for players who get covid, even a small decrease in lung capacity could be devastating for their careers

I imagine we’re going to see damn near every skater under contract play a game in the NHL before the year is done.

Do we have time scheduled between the end of the regular season and the playoffs for make up games? Or do they have to be shoe horned into the season somewhere?

i'm sure things will only get better with more travel and intense close contact with other teams/players during the game

NFL went a whole season with our cancelling a game and didn’t need to add extra weeks. And they’re rosters are what...52(?) each.

I imagine the NHL will investigate and punish teams like the NFL did if there was major breaches of their safety protocol. I will imagine an outbreak this size that something happened.

What happens to the Panthers who have a back to back with the Stars to start the season? An extra week off?

NFL teams play one game a week. Little easier to reschedule a game with six day off don't you think?

If it's only 6 players then why are they not forced to still play? They still have enough players.

They also required teams to start players off practice squads to accomplish this. Start making use of the taxi squad and don’t delay games. Enforce rules with punishments if teams are not complying. NHL season won’t happen if this is a weekly occurrence.

Ya I got a kick out of the NFL. Practice squad WR playing QB with no practice haha.

MLB and NFL had a rocky start to the season with covid cases, but they ended up completing the season. NHL likely will be no different, but should find a way to make it work out in the end.

They should force them to use the taxi squad or call ups or whatever. The game shouldn't be postponed because of those players, the team should pay the price.

I read the other day that the Browns only had 5-6 players that played every game this season, and the Saints had less (due to covid and injuries).
