She was unarmed. She was climbing through a window. She was not an immediate threat. Every other police shooting gets scrutinized here. Why not this one?

Not that I wish harm on anyone but as far as I'm concerned she was committing a terrorist act. Cop kinda does get a bit of a pass from me here, as much as I hate to say it.

how do the police know she, or any of the mob screaming 'burn it down' behind her were unarmed? she was trying to climb through a barricaded door (barricaded by desks bookshelves and anything else the secret service or cops could find in order to protect the senators and staff hiding in the office behind) followed by a baying mob screaming for blood, I cannot think of a more justified use of force

That's not what this says. [shrug]

Edit: MarchHare's answer adds more clarity to this, yeah. In practical terms, they don't need the support of the houses, they just need to run out of the clock on a vote.

Storming a building with a mob and climbing through a window you just busted to gain access into a more-secure section of the Capitol building in opposition to armed guards with an unruly mob that has already breached multiple layers of security isn't an immediate threat? lol, wow guy.
I see this as a mercy killing. First, it put this miserable MAGA zombie out of her misery, but it also completely deflated the others and took the wind out of their sails and stopped their momentum, thus sparing the rest of them the same fate had they breached that wall, too.
Like seriously, what is the point of security and guns if they don't use them to defend the building and people they are paid to defend?

That's not what a mercy killing means. I think you're confusing it with some vein of martyrdom.

A Muslim wearing a backpack is shot 30 times before they make it to the window let alone break it and start climbing through. But I guess white people can't be terrorists, as apparent in Nashville.

It makes me sick seeing the police taking selfies with these dolts, and each and everyone one of them needs to be arrested. Overall the response was pathetically weak but I still think it’s possible that one of them crossed a line.

But, I mean, two wrongs don't make a right.
The Muslim should not be shot. This woman should not have been shot.
No one who is not in the act of harming another person should ever consider being shot.

You’re right, instead each cop should have taken on 30 guys each...
Everything to do with the planning needs to be ridiculed and people need to be held accountable. But once that started, they were overrun.

But what a great way to gather photographic evidence to arrest these idiots later.

If I were to find a building full of MPs, gather up a few hundred of my friends, then smash and attempt to jump through a window, I expect I would be shot.
No reasonable person could expect anything other than state violence against her with those actions. I generally think it's a miracle there was only 1.
She was part of a mob that was carrying weapons, planting bombs, destroying property, compromising government information, threatening officials, and claiming a desire to overthrow the worlds most militarized government.

The selfies sure perpetuate the narrative that they are sympathetic or even supporting the rioters.

What? A person violently breaking in to one of the most important places where nearly all of the lawmakers are should be shot. Especially when there was bombs found and this person is wearing a backpack. This isn't a peaceful protest against war at a school, this was a violent "revolution" with the sole purpose to get to the VP. Anyone should have been shot, and there would have been a lot more deaths if they weren't just a bunch of white people.
If she broke in and blew herself up and you knew no one stopped her, you would be decrying all of the security - rightfully.

Only if people keep perpetuating this absolutely ridiculous “they let them in” narrative.
“President deliberately neuters security preparedness”, being the more likely scenario here, is all we need to talk about. Because he deliberately made this happen.

How would you expect the capitol police to know she wasn't armed? Who's to say what would happen once she breached that barrier? She was a threat, approaching them. She had already broken countless laws. Her goal was nothing short of overthrowing the government. Actions have consequences. I just can't imagine a situation more justified in the use of lethal force than a hostile mob overthrowing a legitimate government.

Frankly, it's amazing and impressive more people weren't shot.
