Wow, in the Senate there was no debate at all. Hawley didn’t even speak. That whole thing took like ten minutes

Objection is not sustained. Doesn’t matter what’s happening in the House.
Meanwhile in the House, various members are standing up and saying stuff that doesn’t matter with great passion.
Currently it’s 1:05 am in DC, more than an hour to go of this debate. I think only Wisconsin is still on the list of “battleground” states which might face an objection.
It's over with Pennsylvania. There are enough "non objected" states by the time it gets to Vermont's tally to put Biden over the top no matter what happens with Wisconsin. It's all over but the announcement.

LISTEN: Giuliani desperately called GOP senator to block certification — but he misdialed
Quote:
"Giuliani was making calls this evening, as late as an hour before Congress reconvened, in a desperate attempt to block the final count of Electoral College votes. At approximately 7 p.m., Giuliani called newly sworn-in Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, a staunch Trump ally, imploring him to stall the process," The Dispatch reported.
"Giuliani tells Tuberville that McConnell wants to narrow the objections to just three states and explains that the Trump team wants to object to 10," The Dispatch reported. "The problem for Giuliani? He left his message on the voicemail of another senator, who shared it with The Dispatch."
The conservative publication published the voicemail:
I know it’s a hockey forum but us being interested in the political opinions of people we know for being famous rather than qualified is part of the greater set of problems that caused all of this
I would thank this post every day if I could.

The Biden/Harris Electoral College victory is certified by a margin of 306 - 232.
Thank Christ. Still two more weeks of Trump though, which unfortunately is plenty of time for more bats*** crazy shenanigans to take place. I just hope America can make it through to Jan. 20th without completely imploding.

I don't think so. I think by the end of today they will use the 25th to remove him immediately. I think even Pence has had enough.

Doubtful. Unless protests continue, and continue to be violent, I doubt they have the balls to invoke the 25th amendment. They should, but they won't. They should have on multiple occasions over the past four years, but they didn't. With only two weeks left, why make the move now? Just keep the man-baby distracted for two more weeks, call it a #### stain in the underwear of American history, and start looking for your next lobbying gig until the next Republican nutbar takes office in 4-8 years.
you'd need a Cabinet majority alongside Pence to invoke section 4 of the 25th amendment. I highly doubt it. Impeachment would be more appropriate anyway, but that'd die in the Senate again.
it's all about somehow making it to January 20th without further escalation. Big task.

Audio like this really concern me, because Rudy sounds ethical, and convincing. He makes it sound like a rational and fair plea that due process wasn't held to make the case for Trump on voter fraud.
Now, rational thought kicks in and says, well, you had since Nov to make a case, >50 judges (including Trump appointed ones) have turned you down, and if you wanted to present evidence to Congress, don't do it the night of the vote, prepare it... before so they could review it... before (perhaps you didn't because you have no evidence?) Oh, and the public has seen no valid evidence. This also ignores the argument Congress should not override the state electoral process.
The problem is, many don't get to the next step. Hell even I was listening and for a brief bit was thinking, this kind of make sense, I don't think their is enough vote issues to overturn an election, but why wouldn't we discuss it. I despise Cruz, yet for moments I was thinking, this also makes sense.

I don't think there is enough conviction with enough people for the 25th to occur.
I don't think the Senate has the votes for impeachment to occur (many may agree, but not worth it to their careers if he is gone in 2 weeks).
However, IF one of these things was going to occur, he would get word of it up front and resign early anyway.
