Ok. I think I was in a state of shock or something today when I was trying to be weirdly too reasonable about all this.

This is ####ing bonkers.

People just stormed the capitol building under the direction of a sitting president.

No one has been arrested.

There has been almost no reprecussions.

Probably nothing is going to happen of consequence.

A couple thousand people just took a massive dump on the US's reputation. On its sense of normalcy.

And nothing is going to happen.

This is ####ing bonkers.

Sorry for the late over reaction. I'm just kinda sitting here totally incredulous that there is essentially no reprecussions for the absolute craziness of today.

And even more incredulous that I'm not all that surprised that he and they are gonna get away with this.

Well if you're so concerned with morals, then you should be more sympathetic to the why the BLM riots happened, and could be viewed as a necessary evil.

Look how much attention and response that it brought as a result. Because for the BLM movement, it took other people getting impacted indirectly to maybe acknowledge the oppression that happens to blacks, and perhaps actually do something to end it so they aren't treated differently because of the colour of their skin. When they get personal injury from those protests, they got a taste of the pain blacks have had to deal with for centuries.

It would be ideal that these changes could happen through non-violent means, but history has proven that the incentive isn't there if there isn't consequences for not doing the right thing. If those riots didn't, not only would more black people would've gotten killed in 2020 by the police due to 'excessive force', but we also wouldn't be having discussions on the oppressions that the black community is facing.

If the riots leads to less unnecessary deaths and discrimination against a particular race, the means are justified for a better end result. As mentioned in this thread already, a riot led to the foundation of our democratic system that we value significantly.

I wouldnt be surprised if the same “in the moment fervor” that captures looters also took hold of this woman, and she wasn’t as devoted to the Trump cause as we would like to think. Maybe Im wrong and she does have a long history of civil disobedience, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if a moment of stupidity had her climbing that window.

B: Should the capital police all be fired and forced to reapply for their jobs with top officials resignations made permanent?

Sad when you see the picture of that lady...died for a conman that doesn't give a crap about her at all, even worse...we only get one life...she was probably sucked in by the other long con that doesn't believe in that.

I doubt Trump even knows who she is - she doesn't actually matter to him. He might read her name off a teleprompter at some point, and then move on to how the election was stolen.
