Also Chris Hayes had some good points:
It seemed to him people are thinking they would just get past this like it would blow over. He's livid that there are no consequences for the terrorists or Trump. As if it won't continue unless something is done immediately. Also that the phone call is forgotten.
Insane.

Unless a lot changes, it is the only way to get the nomination. But no chance of actually winning the presidency. Unless GOP changes primary rules, Republican voters overwhelmingly will support a Trump loyalist.

Not that I necessarily think your conclusion is wrong as far as strategy goes, but that chart is a pretty bad justification for it. It suggests that there's a real split among Republicans and some of them could in fact be reached, particularly as the Trump wing goes farther and farther afield into crazytown. The speeches in the Senate today give the same impression. I think they're probably illusory, honestly, but that's not a good basis for your position.

Except, for the most part, they all fell in line with Trump when the chips are down. All these people care about is power and advancing their bat#### ideas. Most of them see compromise as fundamentally weak/immoral. How do you possibly work with those people?

Sure. I said it was illusory and that I didn't think your conclusion was necessarily wrong. But to say "this is why you can't work with them" is a complete failure to understand what you're looking at. It's just the opposite. It's this sort of thing that keeps convincing moderate democrats that they can reach across the aisle.

What I would give to call out Cruz about Trump saying the republican primary was rigged because Cruz wasn't American and his dad killed JFK

Republican Senators have withdrawn their objections to the Georgia electors. It looks like the rest of this is going to sail through smoothly.

How ironic would it be if the MAGA crowd turns on the Trump-loving woman who died as being disguised antifa? I would love if 4chan or whatever tried to do that for ####s n giggles.
But of course they'll somehow be able to martyr the person leading the charge breaking in while also believing that they were all antifa.

So here come the conspiracy theories from the usual suspects.
I'm guessing it's going to go something like this:
All of the protestors were Antifa, disguised as MAGA Nation, to make the president look bad because of the "swamp" or Q-Anon, or some ####.
Paid crisis actors, blah blah blah, George Soros
