The 'Conn Smythe Trophy winners' quiz
Can you name every NHL player to be awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy? An asterisk (*) indicates that the player was on the losing team in the Stanley Cup Final. Quiz clue: Year / Team / Jersey #. Good luck!

Yours truly ended up with 52/55
Drew a blank on years 20, 19 and 14

42/55. I knew all of them back to 1982 but really struggled with the rest. With time running out I started listing off all the Habs legends I could remember and got a few. I also drew a blank on the #4 for the Bruins which had me feeling a little dumb.

About to take this, but please keep posting these. They're great.
UPD: got 53/55, missed 1969 and 1966.

48, but would have been 49 if I had known how to spell Cournoyer. I also knew Beliveau, but couldn't remember his name.
Williams in 2014 was the only one that stumped me from the last 40 years. Having the numbers certainly helped.

I don't think spelling should count. you knew the name, so that's good enough.
49 for you.

Meh, the only one I missed after I was born was Butch Goring (not going to sweat missing guys in the 60's). I guess he just wasn't that memorable of an MVP.
more like Gutch Boring, amirite?

I didn't know Mike Vernon had a Conn Smythe. Cool.

I think the quiz gives you credit if your spelling is close enough? 46

Yes, I mistyped Hedman as "Heman" and it accepted it.
My Cournoyer attempt was obviously not close enough. I think I was missing the U and Y at the very least.

38. I really really struggled with anything in the early 80s and older. I only got Bobby Orr because Boston and #4.

Got all 55. Obviously had a guess a few times, especially at the end.
If they didn't list the uniform number it would have been waaay harder. It was basically just guessing the notable player for team "x" wearing number "y".

I only missed 66 and 69 but had lucky guesses on 73 and 79. Some of them were good guesses in the 60's.

52/55. Didn't get Goring, Leach or Crozier.
One guess per year with no player numbers, wouldn't have done nearly as well. But seeing the numbers and getting to mash a bunch of names got me through from '88 to the 60s.
