I’m sure that is he being honest in that statement.

If Congress overrules the electoral vote and electors, the door is then wide open to get rid of the electoral college altogether.

Which would then mean that the Republicans don’t just lose this election, but probably every future one too.

And you know that he doesn’t want that.

With Trump going heavily against Pence and calling him out over the last few days I wonder if it is enough for Pence to throw in the towel and resign as VP. Surely this has to be enough to push him over the edge and walk away from the lunacy that is Trump.

If I'm Pence I stick around just to tell Trump to stick it up his arse when he demands Pence pardon him just before he leaves for Scotland/Russia

Can't wait until Pence's tell-all book and the media depictions of him years later as a simple family man, retired now, who just enjoys sculpting hand made vases at his house in the country. "It was such a crazy time, there were such good intentions but the President got lost along the way, I assure you that nobody fought harder than I did to keep the President from doing harm against the American people. It was a dark time, an uphill battle, but now I make ornate vases and life is simpler."

So, just curious about impeachment...since the house has already convicted, can the senate reintroduce a vote on it, impeach him immediately, and at least get some sanity back, even if it is Pence? There must be bipartisan support at this point to get Trump out of power, even just for a couple weeks. It can't continue like this.

And white liberals will trip all over themselves to rehabilitate his image. He'll probably end up with a show on MSNBC.

Sculpting pottery is waaaay to sensual for Pence to do. He's more of a stamp collector, or a quilt weaver.

Ossoff by more than 20,000 votes. Does that put it out of automatic recount territory?

recount threshold is .5%, so 20k is right about there.

I think I'm just glad Ossoff won so I don't have to hear about how you got to "Vote your Ossoff" for at least 5 more years.

I feel... maybe even know, deep down, it's going to lead to nothing.

But reading the Ossoff winning tweet, followed by the Omar tweet, gave me the exact same chill you get when you're watching some action movie, the chips are down, it's all gonna be lost, and the music kicks up, the good guy stands up, and finally kicks some serious ass.

Yes, I know it's stupid, and I am in no way comparing this very serious and important moment to something so silly. But that shot of hopeful adrenaline is so nice. And I'm going to embrace it anyway.
