Seriously though, this is kind of the opposite of the presidential election where election day votes were often counted first, followed by mail in votes.
In this case, many of the mail in votes were counted first, so head start by Warnock and Orsoff was a little misleading.

It's pretty obvious how this is going to go. Warnock will get called tonight. Ossoff/Perdue will be in a virtual tie that will leave the Senate in majority in limbo while re-counts/audits/court challenges play out.

Oh no, the Dem leads are really shrinking now.
STOP THE COUNT! STOP THE COUNT!
They're stealing the election!

Looks fishy. That most recent batch was, like, 99% republican. Did they just happen to "find" votes under their desk?
Ryan??

Biggest takeaway from the numbers is that it appears Dems are overperfoming November margins while the GOP is underperforming turnout slightly. And the GOP underperforming is of course hilarious since there's virtually a 99.9% chance Trump depressed turnout with the everything is rigged talk. At least the orange pig####er was good for something.

Joe Manchin has got to be feeling about 11 feet tall right now. About to become one of the most powerful people in the country with no effort.

So Trump may succeed in losing them the Senate by discouraging voters, guzzling millions in funding from his supporters to waste the courts time with frivolous and baseless lawsuits, and will flee the country on the 19th, likely to live off of some portion of said charity to be stored in his chinese bank account.
What a ####ing patriot.

Let's maybe not count those chickens quite yet.

Yep. Both Republican with small leads now with 2/3rds of the votes counted and mail ins no longer being a big factor.

Is anyone actually following the needle or are you all just watching the raw vote totals? Warnock and Ossoff's odds have increased in the last 30 minutes on the needle.

FWIW, Nate Cohn on Twitter is saying there are lots of metro Atlanta (i.e. Dem) votes remaining, and both Dem candidates are outperforming Biden -- who won the state -- in almost every county. He seems pretty bullish on this being a 2-0 sweep for the blue team.

Massive amount of the vote remaining is still Atlanta area early votes. Might not skew as blue as mail-ins, but still should be pretty reliably blue.
As Nate Cohn recently pointed out, the NYT needle isn't getting surprised at all tonight. Basically every chunk of votes that comes in almost exactly matches what their model is predicting for that chunk. And when it does miss, the actual votes are usually slightly benefiting Democrats. So that makes me slightly more confident about their prediction than I otherwise would be.

Large centers being large and all take longer to count and come in later (go figure)
Dems are both doing better than expected so far and in a coin flip race that might be enough

And Needle Nate has said his model underestimates the Dems. The underlying numbers right now all suggest a 2-0 Dem victory, but I think nfotiu nailed it earlier in that Warnock will be declared tonight and Ossoff/Perdue will drag out a bit.

Well, in that case...
