Hearing about our team in media at all. With TOR, MTL and EDM all in the same division, the other teams might as well not exist. The Flames could runaway with the division and headlines will still be about McDavid's recovery from the sniffles and Tavares' new PJs.

This isn't North division specific, but crowd noise. Actual legit crowd noise.

I will miss seeing some of the other eastern teams like the 'Caps and 'Pens. It's always good to watch your team match up against the best superstars in the game.
I definitely won't miss the other Western teams. Wild, Blues or Vegas. Yuck.
Canadian match ups are always the games I look forward to the most. So getting to play each of them regularly should make it a pretty awesome season, given the circumstances.

Those games are guaranteed to be OT losses so you get to bed as late, cold, and pissed off as possible.

Gonna miss going to any Flames games, usually we try to make road trips to three each year, being in the States that is not going to happen.

I like when the Caps come to town. Ovi is my favorite non-Flame and I like watching him live.

Just imagine if they actually sang the full version that is five times longer than the abbreviated version. Of course, the reference to slavery in the full version makes it pretty much a no-go anyway.

Definitely have to echo the 8:30 PM Wednesday in January Wild and Predator games! Big miss.
In general, just the opportunity to watch the best players in the world face their Flames counterparts. Preferably live at the 'Dome though that won't happen, in both warmup and isolating my viewing to just focusing on them for entire shifts at a time in admiration of their attention to detail and as part of an indefinite education on what sets them apart.
Some I have come to love watching and studying that immediately come to mind (no order):
Sidney Crosby's all-around game, and especially backhand and balance.
Alex Ovechkin's snap shot and one-timer.
Jeff Skinner's agility and edgework.
Brayden Point's work rate.
Patrice Bergeron's toughness anticipation.
Mark Stone's stick work and positioning.
Ryan O'Reilly's forechecking and angling.
Victor Hedman's movement relative to size.
Nathan MacKinnon's explosiveness.
Roman Josi's escapability.
Jacoob Slavin's gap control.
Shea Theodore's outlet passing.
Patrick Kane's hands and ability to manipulate defenders' feet.
Cale Makar's lateral mobility and reactive countering.
Matthew Barzal's top-gear speed.
Nikita Kucherov's creativity.
Hopefully the TV networks will experiment a bit this season and try going with a camera angle that has both blue lines in view at all times, at minimum, allowing for superior viewing.

Its not something Im gonna miss. But F the Oilers goal horn. I hate that thing and having to potentially listen to it way more is gonna suck. That plus more Gene Principe might make me switch to knitting

The special feel of Hockey Day in Canada.
On another note, kind of crazy to think that barring two playoff round victories, Calgary's next game in the U.S. could be in Seattle.

I really love this tradition... very unique and creative, it’s a cool home team thing to do.

And even for that tire fire, still having to stand for 5 minutes straight of national anthems like you're at an Olympic gold medal match. Does this matchup really require this much pageantry?
