I may be Bias (Full disclosure, I work for Scotiabank) but I actually like this. Shows respect for the teams uniform and colours, not obnoxious and large, blends in well.

The Leafs have partnered with Scotiabank, too.

Makes sense, Scotia has naming rights for both Toronto and Calgary

It's a good thing the Flames' sponsor has a red logo.

The red Scotiabank logo on the Leafs' white helmet is almost as bad as having a blue flag on red shoulders for over a decade.

So this appears to be located where the flaming C used to be on our helmets. I guess that is the casualty?

Ding dong.

If a Jets player takes a head shot this season, I want to hear the announcer say "he got his Bell rung".

I first saw someone here on CP coin the more accurate slogan "You're poorer than you know", which I now automatically associate to Scotia Bank whenever I see their slogan.

I don’t like ads at all, but this is even an improvement on that terrible “Flames” watermark, so its a step in the right direction either way.

The Flames have had their Flaming C on the helmets for the last few seasons, I believe since the Adidas jerseys took over.

Well, if we're going to have ads on helmets, this is about as innocuous as one could hope for. Those stickers on the front of the Russian helmets at the WJCs would be the other end of the spectrum from this.

The red Scotiabank logo on the Leafs away helmet is terrible. Couldn't they just make it blue?

Ah right. Okay so, not a step back as far as the Flames wordmark then.

No. Corporations and organizations are very, very protective of their brand.

^ You aren't wrong, but even the Scotiabank logo outside the building in Toronto is blue. Why not the helmet? Weird.

Edit - It can be lit different colors and they change it to blue for Leafs games. Someone can correct me if I'm mistaken on this one too.

You mean the wordmark logo though right? That reads “Scotiabank Arena”?
Not the actual Logo, which is white when used for Lead themed promotions (Blue background).
