No he got benched in a team Canada blowout but pointing that out is apparently worthy of derision.

He was just on the ice and had the puck most of his shift...has barely played though.

Wasn't on the bench for a stretch in the 2nd.

Holding back talented young hockey players ... it's the Oilers way.

Pelletier missed an easy goal there.

Time to send him packing

For one you are talking out your ass...he hasn't played much but you are jumping to massive conclusions "benched for poor decision making"

you realize this is team Canada right? A really good player or two will not be getting much or any ice time. Also, he was not on the bench for much of the second period.

Hell really good players were cut from this team

Lol at players forcing their way through the Oiler door trying to trap them.

The metaphors are next level..

And the goaltending leaves rather a lot to be desired. Hard to feel confident when your keepers are letting in 40% of the shots.

There is no goalie in the world keeping the German team close

A terribly coached team. So many instances of individuals skating in to 4 Canadians interspersed with Oileresque ‘this guy scored’ style bunching up

What time should the Germans look at pulling their goalie

You want a response, this game should not be used as any sort of measuring stick. Sure Zary isn't the best skater , and has to work on it, but what I did notice from him was a back check early that probably saved a goal. It wasn't a point but a type of play a smart player makes. Plays like that are just as important.

Would you think better of him if he managed to get a cheap assist on the shorthanded goal early in the game?

You realize germany is back to back playing with 9 forwards and 5 dmen

Zary the only forward without a point.

I'll buy the plane ticket myself.

I realize as well that they are individually and collectively outmatched with individual talent far less than Canada’s.

But you can roll 3 lines with some semblance of team structure. This has been ugly hockey

I'm a big Gaudreau fan. Was not a shot at him. He just loves that shot.
