Was it ever mentioned how much is costs for a company to get that ad space, or does it vary from team to team?

That’s interesting that there is talk of it being one year internally. Honestly I can’t imagine they go back from this once people stop talking about it.

Rick Westhead said Leafs and Habs are asking for $1 million and smaller market teams would be getting much less. NHL hoping for $15 mil in total

Lol, of course they'll call it temporary now, but like I said yesterday - This is tens of millions in annual revenue, they simply will not give that up.
They're playing it right though. Casually bring them in, citing the pandemic and the temporary need for more money, let fans get used to them being there, quietly announce permanent agreement in off season.

It isn't so bad if the colours don't clash. lol on the temporary thing though. Temporary like income tax, I am guessing.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Oilers have been told by Lowe they are all wearing these helmets and have one of the hottest brands of the 80s as an entitlement sponsor.

We will be used to them by the end of January and won’t notice them.
There was a time where rink boards were completely white. Now we barely notice(or certainly don’t pay much attention) to all the ads now.
This is a big shrug the shoulders “issue” for me.

No issue with some small tastefully placed ads. Revenue growth has to come from somewhere.

I hate it. But I also understand they need all the revenue they can get. For a couple minutes it will be a very minor distraction then completely forgotten, just like board ads.

Yeah that's not gonna go away.
I don't really care that much, it's inevitable at this point. They'll be on jerseys in a few years too
