Apparently he was committed to the University of Vermont, but that didn’t happen.

Brooks also walked away from him, and it looks like Penticton as well. There appears to be a pattern here of something.

The Penticton Vees added a new wave of attack, announcing the signing of forward Ocean Weisblatt on Thursday.
Weisblatt, who turns 19 on Jan. 4, has spent the past year and a half with the Brooks Bandits in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
The Bandits won the Western Canada Cup in Penticton last year before losing in the finals in overtime in the RBC Cup national championship.
Weisblatt missed all of that action last year due to injury. He got into 14 games, putting up three goals, five points and 22 penalty minutes.
This season, Weisblatt had two goals and eight points in 28 games with the Bandits, as well as 48 penalty minutes.
He's committed to play NCAA Division I hockey next season at the University of Vermont.

It sucks for this man that he has to learn an important lesson so publicly.

Don't #### with cops, you'll always lose.

But I'm not sure he is learning. I will be honest I stopped following this because it made me want to punch, but the last I saw he "released a statement" that dripped with anti-lockdown/mask language.

#### him.

Ezra Levant is covering his legal costs. The GoFundMe is next.

He'll make out like a bandit, unfortunately.

Will be interesting to see how public the Family wants to take this.

Can't think that his brother or the Sharks want this playing out in the public and Ocean becoming an Anti-Mask advocator.

Brooks refused him. Maybe you overlooked that (about three posts above yours).

Well if that new mutation of covid-19 that's in Britain ever makes it's way over here it'll get rid of these anti maskers quicker. They are getting sick now ,imagine if that 70% contagious virus gets them.

Yeah, there's no learning here. If you followed his statements after, he's a typical freedom/anti-masker who's using this as leverage to fight on a bigger platform.

Which makes this even stupider and kind of embarrassing for the posters that defended him and this incident, indicting police for overracting when we now know that he played you guys and had bigger aspirations of stupidity.

I know multiple people that have worked with this family in minor hockey. Let’s just say that Sportsnet piece is total fluff meant to make you feel good, not paint an accurate portrait of the family dynamic.

You guys aren't gonna realize you have no freedom until you have given it all away. And man, will you think yourself an idiot then.

Oh do tell.

Please give us your nuanced breakdown of the difference between rights and privileges that enable this freedom of which you speak.

I can only imagine.

Based on the story of him releasing live fish into a public pool in Shaughnessy, I can only imagine why Brooks, Penticton, and Vermont dropped him.

I still can’t get over this guys name. Like, no wonder he turned out this way.

If anything this was his destiny the day whoever wrote those letters on that birth registry form in this particular order.

C'mon, we can't expect a 21 year old kid named Ocean to understand that he's not an actual ocean and merely transferring his fish children to another body of water, especially with all these changing rules around climate change.

You won't even know when your freedom to do that is gone till ya can't do it no more.

As much as I think hes a dbag I kinda like the name. It's not conventional but it's not way out there. Better than adding an x instead of a c or k and thinking your original when all youre doing is ensuring your kid will have to spell their name out using phoenetic for all eternity.
