Kidding aside, just throw everyone stuck at home a bone and let them watch some damned hockey. Even Legault is saying he is stoked to watch some Habs games soon.

Agreed getting “furious” over it is weird but speaking of weird, the BC government being literally the only jurisdiction unwilling to play. BC just always has to be “those guys”. Insert eye roll time. That’s ok like I said if they don’t want to participate this should be a quick shrug and move on by the NHL.

I've only lived in BC for four months, but Horgan seems like a real A+ donkey. That being said, it seems like a pretty easy fix to have the Canucks play on a ship 22km off the coast, to avoid BC rules.

While I think BC should let them play, I can’t really complain on the stance they have taken during these covid times. There is a reason we have half the amount of cases that Alberta has. Not to mention bc only has a 1/3 the cases that Ontario and Quebec has.

Move the Canucks to Quebec City for a season.

Well my friends are not supporters of Horgan and his cabinet to begin with. They really hated Carol James. At least she’s gone.

Why would the BC govt care if the NHL went ahead with this?

Because it would be enormously unpopular, especially on the heels of the team's first playoffs in 5 years... The sense would be that it hurts the Canucks now and in the future for no particular reason.

I think they probably would pull a 49ers and play out of province home games though.

They likely don’t. Maybe they would have prior to the election.

Dont see why not...of course the player(s) coming to Canada would have to follow quarantine rules before playing though.

Bonnie says no, then no.

Treliving is going to get his wish. Canucks will be playing in Calgary.

The Canucks can have Max Bell and we'll even spare the second-biggest dressing room.

Winsport would be an interesting option. The Team Canada dressing room there looks quite nice.

It's going to host every major curling tournament for the year over the next few months, so it's out of the question.

That would give new meaning to "the ice is really tilted in their favour."

You say this like it’s supposed to be an insult

Pretty sure Horgan, with the highest approval rating in Canada, will be able to withstand the public opposition of folks who now have to watch their local team play on TV, as opposed to...watching them play on TV.
