My number one takeaway from this video is that when the Flames five-man D system breaks down, a Ford Pinto is more reliable.

After watching the video, apparently BSD can only make saves on the road. Don't start him at home...

Before even clicking on it, let me guess..there's Oilers fans talking in the comments about karma. Aside from Chucky, nobody else is more in their heads

If you limit his playing time, Rittich might end up being one of the best backups in the NHL next year. I really believe that. I know it’s a long ways away but hopefully we can trade his rights for a decent draft pick next year with the expansion draft.

I assume this is his last year in CGY as he will likely seek a 1B spot and more $$.
I will miss him. I think he has been a solid tender for us, seems loved in the room, and he still has potential to become a starting goalie.

Maybe he will weigh his options and come back to CGY, but I doubt it.

There are some beauties in there, and at least a couple, including the #1 entry had very good initial saves, strong positioning and adjustment for the second shot

I like Rittich, that was a great highlight pack

* and oh my god, when the Flames D break down, they really break down

Man I was so excited about this guy during the first half of the season. It was such a nice feeling to believe that our goalie issues were finally solved. Then... yeesh. I mean, in fairness, it seems like it’s just fatigue issues. I just don’t know how to solve that while still trying to be a contender.

One thing I’m not really a fan of though is that he always seems to be right on the edge of being in control. Like even when he’s lights-out, he still looks too scrambly.

That’s what made Kipper so amazing. When he made a save, you just felt like you were watching a movie you’ve already seen before. There was excitement and appreciation when he made the save, but you always knew it was gonna be a save. With Rittich, there’s a lot of “wow” but very little “I knew that save was coming.”

That Leafs game was one of the better goaltending performances in Flames history I'd have to say. Treat to watch especially with him being named to the All Star game just prior to the game.

I really hope Markstrom pans out, because the Flames obsession with the shiny new toy goalie sure hurts goalie development in the long run.

His autobiography should be the Chronicles of Rittich

On the McDavid play, McDavid literally just coasts and gives up on the play after Ritter makes the save. Pouty Boi.
