Has anyone played Cyberpunk on a PS4 pro? I'm scared of all these reviews I've seen so far. Apparently I had pre-ordered the game way back when and completely forgot about it. It's on the way through the mail now.

Precisely why I will never pre-order games. Even a studio like CDPR can over-promise and under-deliver
It still seems like an interesting game and I'll pick it up one day if they optimize it and my hardware can handle it, but it's certainly not a day 1 must have
Except this game is running via backwards compat on both next gen systems, they will get upgrades in 2021.
Compare any PC/Xbox/PS game from last gen against one another and you will see the same differences. It is unfair to compare a PC game on ultra settings with a new graphics card against a back compat version made for last gen console gpu's.
There are also some HDR settings you can fool around with on PS5 and XSX that make the game look much better. Look 'em up and play around until you find whatever looks best for your console.
Overall I'm really liking it. I think the graphic and bug issues are scaring more people off than really necessary. It's a pretty slow burn but then again I'm maybe 3-4 hours in to a game where the main story alone takes around 30 hours, with many countless hours you can spend doing things on top of that.
Basically the same experience I had with Witcher, it wasn't until quite a ways in where I went from playing it because it was there to play, and playing it because I was fully invested. And there was still tons of gameplay left after that.

Turning off film grain helped with my visuals as well.

Chromatic Abberation and Motion Blur too.
I've read that some people are just turning off the entirety of those options and getting better results. Leave on whatever you like, but Film Grain and the two above are definitely easy drops.

I turn off motion blur and all of those "cinematic" options in every game regardless of performance. I'm not watching a movie so they don't add to the immersion.

Wow I was expecting it to have issues after all those delays, but Cyberpunk looks genuinely awful on consoles. Hopefully they can fix it, because I would like to play it some day.. but there's no way I'm touching it anytime soon.

It looks like the new Mass Effect may be a sequel to both ME3 and Andromeda, Mike Gamble posted an HD pic of Liara from the trailer and she looks like she’s aged a bit and might be a Matriarch. I know ME3’s ending was very controversial, and I would temper expectations that Shepard might be back.
That being said, between the new DA and ME, this is probably BioWare’s last kick at the can. Both Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah “retired” from BioWare earlier this month, before these announcements
Also on the new Mass Effect, I know we all love the original trilogy and a sequel to that sounds awesome, but don't forget that Bioware hasn't made a great game since ME3 and most of the people that made that original trilogy so great don't even work there anymore, or have been corrupted by EA... try to keep your expectations in check.

Not possible. Mass Effect is my favourite series in gaming, and I even quite enjoyed Andromeda (BEFORE the fixes!). I was sad to see Hudson leave but there’s still a magic to that universe. The gameplay in Andromeda was top-notch so if they’re able to execute a bit better on some other fronts I’m hopeful for the sequel.
Edit: And there seems to at least be a small roster of talent that worked on the original trilogy. Michael Gamble (project director at Bioware) was tweeting the other night about Mass Effect’s original art director being aboard, a key gameplay designer, and some other such folk.

Ha, shows what a joke al the reviews are that don’t even mention it looks and runs like crap on the platforms 90% of people will be playing on.
They weren't allowed to review the console versions, CDPR kept it completely under wraps and only let reviewers look at the PC version, despite the console sales making up the vast majority of pre-sales. That says they knew it ran like #### and deliberately hid that fact so that they wouldn't lose any sales. I really hope they get hit by a lawsuit over this release, it's complete bad faith marketing
PS5 runs at 1188p (with dips to lower resolutions) while targeting 60 FPS.
Xbox Series X runs at 1080p (locked) while targeting 60 FPS in performance mode, and in quality mode runs between 1500p to 1700p while targeting 30 FPS. The Series X also seems to have a more densely populated city with larger crowds/more people walking around.
