Before our guys based on camp performance thus far.
I have similar thoughts, except I would cut Suzuki and keep Jarvis.

Canada is going to be absolutely loaded at forward this year:
McMichael,
Cozens,
Dach,
Mercer,
Zary,
Tomasino,
Jarvis,
Perfetti,
Krebs,
Byfield,
Quinn,
Pelletier,
Newhook and
Holloway.

Rees won’t get cut, he’s exactly what the team needs.

I'm somewhat surprised to see Wright cut, lots of time for the kid to play in WJCs still

It certainly would be nice to have at least one of our boys make the team. Two would be a dream come true with the lack of hockey going on. It has been fairly rare to see Flames players on team Canada in the last decade.

Always extra fun to have a Flame or two to root for. Dylan Dube's gold medal winner was fun

It was actually Tyler Steenbergen with the winning goal but Dube opened up the scoring.

Mark Masters @markhmasters
Team has released:

Goalies Brett Brochu & Tristan Lennox

Forwards Adam Beckman, Tyson Foerster, Hendrix Lapierre, Cole Schwindt & Shane Wright

So, 34 players remain ... nine more cuts to come after tonight's final intra-squad scrimmage
I'm absolutely Shocked Wright didn't make the team. Or Beckman for that matter.

I think in a normal year Wright does make it as the 13 for development, but this year with many older players available that might not otherwise have been he is just drowned out.

Beckman is an interesting case. Perhaps the increased offensive production from last season hasn't masked other potential holes in his game that the coaches here noticed? This is a player I will be looking at more closely.

Wright looked good at the scrimmages back in November, but he is 3 years younger then most of these players, and not a 3rd or 4th line player. The depth at forward is ridiculous this year. He will have his time, he is a such a good player, I predict he leads Canada in scoring next year.

I think it’s a good sign that both Zary and Pelletier are in the top two lines on each of their teams in the hours before the final cuts. Crossing my fingers. Zary and Pelletier on Team Canada would make the WJC extra awesome.

No.

The team is in full bubble mode. No one besides the team is allowed into the building. They are not even bringing in any refs or linesmen to officiate.

It is great to see the effort that both the Flames prospects put in to this camp. If they both make the team they should be absolutely flying at main camp. Great job by BT and the drafting team!

It really looks like Zary and Tomasino will be on a line, they have played together a lot.
