I mean, it's a god damn all-out blitz. It's super-obvious. Dolphins did the same last season when they accidentally were close to beat the Steelers.

I've never been more embarrassed as a fan to see my team win in such a pathetic manner. There is no doubt in my mind Greg Williams was instructed to let the Raiders score on that last drive. Both of the last two plays they let receivers behind them with no help deep. Nobody ever calls that kind of defense in that situation. Gross by the Jets for tanking.

Going for Trevor is the right thing to do as long as it’s not against the rules.

You are just mad because you took the Jets straight up...A coach is not gonna tank for a player when they are likely to be fired IMO. He thought they could surprise and get a sack. It's not like the prevent defense has never failed.

That right there is the exact reason the NFL needs the top draft picks to be a lottery system. It diminishes the integrity of the game when teams are rewarded for intentionally losing when they have the ability to win. Even though if a team wants to have the best chance at a high pick, you can't stop them from blatantly tanking. But you can ensure it's not a guarantee that they'll get the top pick if they finish worst.

Bill Cower called out Williams for tanking and Boomer Esiason said they tried to lose with those last two coverages.... Cover Zero with 13 seconds left and the opposition at the 50 yard line needing a TD lol. As gross as it is I kind of admire an organization doing the right thing even if the optics are poor. This loss was a win for the Jets.

I'm not sure how I feel about a draft lottery for the NFL. Tanking is obviously bad for competition and the "spirit of the game" but I'm not entirely sure that a draft lottery makes things better. I could actually see a lottery being a draw for more teams to throw games. The NBA and NHL have much longer seasons so intentionally losing games to get a better spot in the lottery is some what difficult. But in the NFL losing 1 or 2 additional games can move you down pretty significantly in the ranking and impact the lottery odds.

Throw Colt McCoy on a list of players I had no idea were still in the league. That list includes Matt Schaub, who I also had no idea was still on a roster until recently.

Yeah Im not sure which is more embarrassing....the Jets tanking the game that way or the fact the Raiders needed them too do so to get a win.
I will say i believe Darnold still could be good QB in the NFL but how the hell can one evaluate that when he has been surrounded by nothing but incompetance and chaos?

Further evidence today, if evidence were required, that the Seahawks aren't actually any good. They don't even look remotely dangerous right now and are about to give the NFC East its first win against a team with a winning record.
So let's review the division leaders here.
Saints - Don't have a QB, would lose a playoff game against just about any good team without Brees, and who knows how good Brees is when he gets back.
Giants - Would be tanking in any other division.
Packers - Paper tiger. Good offense, can't stop the run.
Seahawks - Actually a bad football team. Porous defence, narrow wins over bad teams, losses to middling teams.
Steelers - most underwhelming undefeated team in history.
Titans - Really underwhelming, if you can do anything to stop Henry.
Bills - Can be good, but not really scaring anyone... might even lose the division to the freaking Dolphins.
Chiefs - The only good team in the NFL.
This is a really bad year for the NFL. There are no great teams other than the Chiefs.
