But a review of her professional history, as well as interviews with more than a half-dozen lawyers who have worked with her, show that Ms. Ellis, 36, is not the seasoned constitutional law expert she plays on TV.

Since she graduated law school in 2011, nothing in her record in the courtroom — limited mostly to appearances in state court as a prosecutor or as counsel for clients charged with assault, prostitution, theft and domestic abuse — shows any time spent litigating election law cases.

She holds herself out as an expert on the Constitution based on her self-published book and her teaching of pre-law classes to undergraduates. She has never appeared in federal district or circuit court, where most constitutional matters are considered, according to national databases of federal cases, and does not appear to have played a major role in any cases beyond her criminal and civil work in Colorado.

Craig Silverman, a lawyer in Denver who used to host a radio show on legal matters and current events that Ms. Ellis occasionally appeared on, described her as “an attorney of scant accomplishment.”

In 2015 she joined Colorado Christian University as an affiliate faculty member and published her book, “The Legal Basis for a Moral Constitution: A Guide for Christians to Understand America’s Constitutional Crisis,” in which she lamented how the country had lost its way.

The Trump campaign paid Ellis $3,900 in December 2019, then paid her almost $140,000 in October 2020 for legal consulting fees.

As of the start of December 2020, the Trump campaign and its allies had initiated around 50 election-related lawsuits, however, Ellis had not joined any of these lawsuits on paper or in court. This led Jeremy Peters and Alan Feuer of the New York Times to describe Ellis as mostly doing "public relations" work for the Trump campaign.

lets be honest the main reason she was hired is that she is visibly a graduate of the Jenna Jameson school of law, Donny has a type, it isnt subtle or understated, just a #### ton of bleach blonde hair and 10 or 15lbs of silicon, most of us grow out of that in our 20's, he never did.

The White House removed nine members of the Pentagon's Defense Business Board on Friday and installed people loyal to President Donald Trump in their place, including presidential allies Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie. The firings marked the latest effort by the Trump administration to clean out the Defense Department in the final weeks of the president's term.

Members of the board received a brief email from Joshua Whitehouse, the White House liaison to the Department of Defense, that simply said, “if you are receiving this e-mail, your membership on the Defense Business Board has expired or is coming to an end.”

"A number of board members have been terminated with a form letter. In my experience, I was very surprised that the White House would, at the eleventh hour, adjust an advisory board that for 19 years has had a record of nonpartisan support with the department," Michael Bayer, who until today was board chair, told POLITICO.

"This kind of a move really will weigh heavily on people in the future and their willingness to serve on these outside advisory boards if they're going to be subjected to political loyalty tests. It's unprecedented. I'm just saddened," he added.

A statement by the Pentagon said the members' terms had expired. Yet three former board members who spoke to POLITICO said their tours were not close to ending.

The firings came as a shock to the board members, who had not received any negative feedback or warning prior to their termination. One former board member lamented the move, noting that the board “has never been political, ever.”

“You are talking about 15, 20 executives, business leaders, government leaders, who are giving their time to serve the nation and not even a thank you note,” said the person, who asked not to be named. “It’s just about simple gratitude and appreciation for people.”
"I had no indication this was coming. It was a form letter going to a large number of people," Bayer said.

I mean, she claims to have a Bachelor of Applied Science - Information Technology, then suggests she earned an Associates degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the University of Michigan. Universities don't bestow Associate degrees. You go to community college for an associates degree. Big Blue doesn't offer this degree, nor does it have Computer or Information Technology Administration or Management program.

Next she has a bunch of certificates on her page that are clearly bogus. She claims she has a Security+ certification, but does not present her license # nor anything resembling accreditation. She has a certificate on her profile, but its a certificate of completion for a "cyber awareness challenge," something completed in one day. She claims the certification is issued by Cisco, but Security+ is a credential offered by CompTIA, not Cisco. She also claims to have a Certified Cisco Network Associate credential, but offers no license number or expiration

When we look at her work history, it's even sketchier. She claims to have worked for Ford as a Cyber Security Analyst, but it turns out she was actually contracted by Ciber, who is a body shop that provides low skill workers to act as force multipliers during implementations or product roll outs. It looks like she was hired on to do system patching after the discovery of system vulnerability. While it was done for Ford, she was not employed by Ford, nor did she work for Ford. She has a certificate of appreciation from Ford on her profile, but it clearly indicates she was a Ciber contractor. She also has a certificate of completion, awarded by Ciber for the completion of the Gauge patching project.

Outside of that, her experience is centered around a decade as a Help Deak [sic] specialist for someone called Millennium Servicea [sic] of Lincoln Park, IL. Can't find anything on this company. Her other experience is 2.4 years as an intern for RX Painting Inc., in Dearborn, MI. This is literally a house and commercial painting company, not an IT firm.

She is obviously full of #### and is not afraid to bend the truth to make herself look more important than she really is. I suspect she could use a little couch time with a trained therapist. A Nevada judge dismissed the Trump campaign’s formal challenge to the state’s election results with prejudice on Friday, ruling that the campaign failed to substantiate its claims of voter fraud or offer any basis for annulling more than 1.3 million votes cast in the state’s presidential race.

In a detailed, 35-page decision, Judge James T. Russell of the Nevada District Court in Carson City vetted each claim made by the Trump campaign and found that none was supported by convincing proof. Lawyers for Trump are expected to appeal Russell’s decision to the Nevada Supreme Court as part of their foundering effort to overturn Biden’s victory in key battleground states.

The campaign “did not prove under any standard of proof that illegal votes were cast and counted, or legal votes were not counted at all, due to voter fraud, nor in an amount equal to or greater than” Biden’s margin of victory, which was about 33,600 votes, Russell wrote.

Among its claims, the campaign alleged that more than 61,000 people voted twice or from out-of-state. In his ruling, Russell concurred with election officials and academic experts that there is no evidence for this.

The judge specifically dismissed witness declarations that had been touted by the campaign, calling them “self-serving statements of little or no evidentiary value.”

The Trump campaign faced other legal defeats around the country on Friday — including in Minnesota, where the state’s highest court dismissed a Republican lawsuit seeking to delay certification of the election results. Biden beat Trump there by more than 233,012 votes.
