Ok so the Vita my friend sent me is garbo and doesn't work so I'm going to see if I can find a tablet here, cuz, this has really worked great actually so far for other stuff.

I'm looking for an 8" or so tablet, android. Doesn't have to be super new or modern, just the last 3 or 4 years maybe so not ancient. No physical damage on the screen.

Get a Fire HD8 from Amazon, you can sideload Google Play store and for all intents and purposes it's better than most 3 year old Android tablet. Cheap too.

My kids are still using their two year old Fires.

I second the fires. The wife had a 7 for a long time then went up to an 8 and loves it. I am typing this on a fire 10 I had for over a year now. Works well for basic stuff and goes everywhere I travel. Load Playstore or just load the apk's directly on and away you go. Just remember if you get a fire you need to download some files if you want to use playstore and related apps. Out of the box Amazon and Google do not like to talk to each other.
To add Amazon big sale coming up and tablets always go on a good deal.
