Grey is so bland in sports. The Kings have done it a couple times and it sucks.
I didn't like it when the NFL did it, and the it makes the most sense in the NFL, as you can more easily accommodate a military type theme. It's just so bland. The whole point of jerseys is to wear your team's colours. Replacing the sea of red....with a sea of grey?

I was actually thinking of whether there should be a "blackout" for Blasty night... but my heart says no (plus I don't think it would look very good).
I don't mind the new Blasty jersey but there were waaay better concepts presented in this thread. It sucks the Flames always manage to miss the mark when coming out with new jerseys.

Hahaha, that was hilariously candid from Valeri Bure. "I said there was two cities I don't want to get traded to, Edmonton and Calgary. They said 'well congratulations you're going to Calgary'".

Also cool to hear that Iginla and Bure were roommates for two and half years. "We both loved our naps. I mean we could sleep anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 hours before a game, so it was perfect". This guy is gold to listen to, really glad Flames TV did this.

What was that year they kept talking about where the Flames had the record for overtime wins? I totally forgot about that until he mentioned it. I wonder if there's some highlights available.

1999-2000, which was the first year of the extra point in OT. They won 11 games in OT.
That mark has since been matched by the Canucks and Blues in 2003-04 and the Habs in 2016-17. The Canucks in 2006-07, the Kings in 2015-16 and 2016-17, and the Pens in 2017-18 have each had 12 OT wins in one season.

He was a really good player for the organization over three years. That 35 goal, 75 point year was pretty impressive in that era of hockey for a slight of build guy like him.

I think the odd thing about that was that out of the first 16 games, 7 went to OT.
Flames got points in all them. 5 wins, 2 ties. They lost the other 9 games in that stretch, so all their points in the first month and half of the season were in OT.
They didn't get their first win in regulation until Game 20.
The Flames had 26 OT games that year. 22 of them in the first 60 games.
They had back to back OT games 5 times and back to back to back OT games one additional time.
