3. Smaller storage (500G compared to 1TB)
It will still be significantly better than the Xbox One.
If you’re still on PS2 then you’ll notice a significant difference either way, and the Xbox One will still be a viable option for a few years at least.

I'm going to pile on. If you are on the fence about one over the other...go with the x. I feel that the x will deliver what you are looking for and you get the bigger hard drive etc. I also think that once you get the gamepass ultimate, you will need the bigger hard drive space. and of course, with game pass ultimate you now get ea play.
your golf game for free there is Rory McElroy golf; it is a good game and fun and all but I wish tiger was still around. EA lost the PGA license and so they haven't updated the game. the other game is pga tour and it can be quite realistic if you turn everything up...but it isn't as forgiving as Rory golf.
and let me put a plug in for burnout paradise...also free on ea play. I loved the Forza horizon but nothing compares to burnout for me personally.
I believe that you can still play tiger woods locally...but they took the servers down for xbox live play.

My Xbox that I ordered today is arriving tomorrow and my PS5 that I ordered in September hasn’t even been shipped yet. It makes no sense and now I’m questioning why I even preordered in the first place.

My PS5 shipped as well, but the tracking number they gave me doesn’t give any results - do you know who they use to ship?

I don't understand why they couldn't have shipped these pre-orders out earlier. Who cares if a few people get them early? At this rate I probably won't have it until Monday at best.

I’m going to be receiving a second Series X this weekend by the looks of it. I tried to cancel it but it was already in the pipeline, so I’ll be either looking to return it (Amazon) or sell it if anyone’s interested.

Maybe it's because the whole 3080/CX 48 scenario was so much more restricted but I don't mind if things are a little late. Especially considering a global pandemic and all.
Relatively speaking, getting a console this go around seems to be a lot easier than the previous generation at least in terms of locking in a preorder. I think part of that is people simply not having the means or the job to afford it tbh.

Haven't read this entire thread, but anybody know how game sharing will work now that the series X is out? Me and my buddy currently game share with our XB1s. Today he is upgrading to the XSX. Can't get a solid answer as to whether game sharing still works even though he has upgraded and I'm staying behind. He is buying AC Valhalla for the XSX so I'm hoping I get a copy as well as per usual. Same with my gamepass account; hopefully he can still download games on GP even though I'm the main account holder on my Xbone console.
Anybody tried yet or have a reliable source stating if it's possible??

Amazon folks...keep an eye out on your email. Some folks on RFD are getting emails about shipping for their PS5. Nothing yet for me. I changed my shipping speed to priority just to see what would happen. Conflicting reports say that moves you to the front/back of the queue... which doesn’t make much sense.
Xbox from Microsoft is out for delivery right now.

How To Tell If You’re Playing The Next-Gen Version Of An Xbox Game
Method One: The Obvious Way
Look at your games library. Any that are optimized for the new consoles should have a small “X|S” stamp on the lower-left corner of the game icon. Can’t miss it.
Method Two: The Organized Way
You can also filter your games library so it only shows you your next-gen optimized games. Here’s how:
Press the Xbox button.
Go to “My Games and Apps.” (You might also just see this icon on your Xbox dashboard.)
Under the “Games tab,” flick over to “Filter.” In the top row, it’s the third icon from the right, with a symbol that looks somewhat like one of the funnels you used in high school chemistry.
Click on it, and scroll down to “all console types.”
Switch that to “Optimized for Xbox Series X|S games.” You should see this happen:
Method Three: The Cool Way
Back in 2012, Kotaku reported that the codename for the then-unannounced Xbox 360 successor was straight out of a John Wayne film: “Durango.” That machine, of course, turned out to be the Xbox One. Before the Xbox Series X and S were announced, Microsoft referred to its next-gen offerings by another codename: “Scarlett.” I’m not just taking you for a leisurely stroll down memory lane. These terms can serve a practical purpose—to a point.
In your Xbox’s game library, hover over a game you’re curious about. Hit the menu button (the button formerly known as “Start”). Scroll down to “file info.” That should pull up an inscrutable string of letters of numbers. But look closely, and, on the third line, you’ll spot one of those two codenames.
