Sorry to answer a question with a question...but I will do so anyway. Why do you think it is relevant?

One side claims Donald Trump is for sure a racist. Fine.

Then they claim that the other side must also agree with the conclusion that he is a racist. This is the error in logic.

For people to communicate properly on issues, they must first acknowledge that is is possible to reach a different conclusion based on the same observations.

I'll give you an example:
Donald Trump says something about Mexicans. One half of the population may conclude that he is racist based on his discussion of Mexicans. The other half of the population concludes that he is not racist because Mexico is a country not a race. Both sides of this argument are hearing Trump say the same statement - literally the same video. And yet, they both reach different conclusions. Basically half and half. Is one side right and one side wrong? Perhaps. But it is incorrect to assume that all sides are reaching the same conclusion.

As we have seen, it is divisive to project your conclusion onto the other side, and then make claims about their values or their intect based on that projection.

I don't usually respond to personal attacks - mostly because I find such things boring.

But I am genuinely curious - do you not find it interesting that half the US population sees the world in one way, and the other half sees it in the other way? And they EACH have absolute conviction that the other side is wrong?

It's virtually identical to a religious disagreement.

I don't normally engage with such frivolous claims, I do however find it interesting that your commentary speaks to the broader engagement issues incumbent on the lefts spatial use of forum pages.
