And it all went downhill with Blasty from there.

Canucks in blue green gradient from 2001?
Oilers in white and orange 1979?

Colorado is the 79 one that's in the Avs' colours. I assume it will be a variation on the Nordiques jersey.

Same thing with the 79 one in Whalers' colours. I assume that's Carolina.

Man if Arizona comes out with a purple Kachina jersey.... that'd be sick.

Leafs is nod to when Ballard put the player names in white on the white jersey so more fans would buy programs.

Devils if they simply do do a flip of the red and green from 1982, green will fit in time for Christmas nicely.

Are Ducks going with Seals colors?

I was just told that the Flames are set to release a preview of their reverse retro jersey on Twitter at 2:00 PM.

If he's right about the Ducks, I wonder if that means it will be a white version of the Wild Wing rather than the orange mock-up he posted previously?

At large size, the number appears to have a purple edge, which makes more sense for Anaheim than Washington. Also, none of the others make sense for Anaheim.

This further gives me hope there is no Blasty because a black jersey is not a reverse of that one.

So, either black pedestal, black 1989 SC Champion style. Black 2004 style wouldn't probably be in play either because it was the same jersey design as 1998 Blasty, and they'd just be flipping the logo to the C.

Could also be doing a black 2013 Western "Calgary" script. That would get the knives out here.

Zoomed in black swatch FTW. Maybe a hint of red on the collar.

I was also just told that, at the league's internal reveal of all the Reverse Retro jerseys between all the different team marketing departments and such, the Flames' jersey apparently got by far the biggest reaction.

I think it could be a black pedestal with a red or white flaming C, no Blasty (thank god)

Of course, "reaction" by no means necessarily indicates a positive reaction.

Recolor of the jersey who's designer had a fetish for diagonal lines, confirmed.

Or something whacky like a gradient.

I didn’t think a pedestal was remotely realistic but if this is the case then a black pedestal is definitely in the cards.

Bring it on!

I don't think so. It seems based on a concept from 1998, and possibly/probably one that debuted in 1998 (Blasty).

I think the options are:
- Black pedestal
- Black 98 alternate with the logos swapped
- Black 98 alternate with current striping

Of course it could be none of those things, but 98 seems like an obvious clue and not just a random number. I don't think a black 89 or a black 13 is at all likely.

A reminder that the one clue I've gotten about this jersey from the Flames' marketing dept is that "horses are cool."
