They wanted to knock out Leo/Alana to break the partnership. Plus Leo and Alana weren't that far behind at the cooking station. Who knows, one day you might be behind that partnership and they'll screw you.

From what I've heard, there have been no pit stops thus far. The teams started in Hollywood and immediately took a flight to T&T. Did that leg and kept on racing to Bogota. The only sleep they got was in the salt mine where they got up a 6am and continued. Then they kept on racing to Manaus. So unless you can sleep outside of a bed, you're going to be very tired and this could be why teams are missing stuff. They probably haven't even showered.

I don't know if they are resting on the boat at the pit stop in Manaus or going right away again.

The boat ride they are about to do up the Amazon is almost at the top of my bucket list. Amazon River cruise or seeing the Congo would be amazing. Think the Amazon if far more realistic though.

There are days off built into the shooting schedule, they just ignore them on the broadcast. According to Wikipedia, this season was shot from November 10 to December 3, two years ago. So, that's 24 days to shoot 12 legs.

It said it was a 10 hour river trip where they sleep in hammocks no?

Well, boo, my PVR didn't tape this episode for some reason. An Amazon river boat cruise was what I was supposed to be doing this summer, instead of this pandemic crap. :-(

I wouldn't have used the yield if I was near the front though, especially this early in the race. Not really anything to gain at this point.

I wonder if the teams who won trips got to use them before Covid, or if they had to wait until the show aired. If they had to wait, those prizes are pretty much useless now.

They don't receive prizes until after the whole season has aired.

Yup but it would suck to sleep in a hammock. This is the no hotel/beds version of the Amazing Race so far.

Yeah, my PVR didn't record it either. I had to watch it on CTV Online.

They had an overnight stay in Trinidad before flying to Tobago. We didn't see where they spent the night, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were put up in a hotel.

They also had a full regular pit stop at the end of the second leg in Bogata. I don't see any reason to assume they didn't spend that in a hotel.

Some people would hate sleeping in a hammock on a boat (I would), but others pay extra for that.

Well, I guess we're only getting one episode this week after all due to extra election coverage on CBS.
This week, the teams go to Paraguay and a revisited Detour from the past nearly kills Gary & DeAngelo, but the blondes had an even worse leg. As always, if you don't see two teams in the same shot for the race to the finish line, assume the editing made it look closer than it actually was.

A confused taxi driver and struggles at the Roadblock made things look bad for Kaylynn & Haley, but the expected non-elimination leg keeps them alive for at least one more leg. Next week, the teams finally leave the Americas and head to Paris, where Kaylynn & Haley will need to complete a Speed Bump.

Oh Good. I thought that my PVR messed up and I missed the second hour. I don't know why, but Will and James are starting to rub me he wrong way. Most of the teams I find very likeable this season so far

Just caught up on all the episodes, glad to hear that I'm not the only person who thinks Will and James are getting on my nerves.

Alliances between two teams is fine, alliances that are over half the teams racing feels cheap.

I like Leo and Alana, Kaylynn and Haley, and Hung and Chee.

Have really liked the challenges and overall competitiveness this season.

It looks like a single episode tomorrow and double next week.
I don't know if that's a change from the original plan or not. One of the two next week will likely be a non-elimination leg.

It was a planned double next week, so they're still short an episode. The finale is supposed to be Dec 16, I don't think they want to go past that.

They are doing a double episode on the 25th. So that may be the make up one.
