It's interesting how the US government/deep state keeps on working in spite of Trump. Biden has a massive Secret Service detail almost instantly, was involved in briefings, and already have 20,000 square feet to use for their transition team.
They've had a Secret Service detail from the time of the primaries (perhaps even earlier).
It's not something that was put into place at/post election day.

I have to say, it becomes somewhat exhausting constantly hearing how people on "the left" need to be the adults, and need to be nicer, and how Trump is their fault etc etc, when there are people on the far right who are actively advocating going to war with the rest of the country and are the responsible for the vast majority of terrorism in the US. There is a problem with the wide, mainstream conversation being had, and we need to come together, but things like this need to be snuffed out entirely.
I really do hope it is all bluster, because these people are writing their own death sentence. The people responsible for encouraging this should be put in jail.
My son had a soccer teammate test positive, and I was able to get him a free insta-test with 2 days lead time no issues in Virginia. Testing availability seems to be the least of our problems.
Exactly the same here in IL.
We got 10 - 12k covid problems per day, but getting tested definitely not one.

Copeland has been BSC for a while but more so in the last 10 years or so. Like full on crazy eyes, as you can see. He believes his own press, and has an ego nearly as big as Trump's. And like Trump, if he has to go off script, the crazy amps up and you get to see what a complete ####### he is. He rambles almost as badly as Trump, when he's off script. Probably why he likes him. That, and Trump's a meal ticket - Trump amps up the rhetoric about the media and leftists and whatever else, and Copeland uses that build on the fear to suck more money out of people. Fear sells well.
My dad used to love him, back in the early days, but even he eventually saw him for what he really is and wouldn't defend him. Copeland and then Osteen, sucked a lot of money out of my grandparents. Dad eventually had to sit them down and tell them a few hard truths and beg them to stop sending them money. They got suckered by the Bakkers too. It's just another reason why I have zero use for religion.

Good grief. I know we've joked about it a lot in this thread, but it's actually starting to look like the Secret Service will have to go in there eventually and physically remove these a**holes from the White House. And while that would certainly be entertaining to watch, it's just sad that it might actually come to that.
I know it was mentioned that the Political Gabfest had a guest on that suggested sending different electors was a non-starter, and the Lawfare Blog had an article on that as well, but it still makes me feel a bit better when a PA Senator comes out and says it will honour the law and send electors as per the vote result.
On Friday, State Senate majority leader Jake Corman said Republicans will honor the wishes of the voters.
“Our role is to monitor the process, our role is to provide oversight and call out questions where they might need asked, but certainly want to stay with the tradition of the popular vote winner getting the electors,” Senator Corman said.
Corman says the vote is certified by the state and the governor appoints the electors.

If they just shut the White House down and do nothing until inauguration, that's not nearly the worst scenario I could imagine. I'm pretty confident Biden is already vastly more equipped to fulfill the job description of President than Trump or anyone in his administration.

Fake news, no way could the real George Bush use the word "adjudicated" in a sentence, let alone using it correctly.
Say what you will about GWB, he was always willing to surround himself with smart people and listen to their advice, may have just been a bad judge of their motivation. Clearly someone drafted the letter and told him he was an important figure in the Republicans conceding, and their concession was important.
