I doubt we're going to see a move back to normalcy in the next four years. We've literally seen battle lines drawn, and the extreme nutballs were given permission to come into the light, its going to be next to impossible to push them back into the dark.
A divided country as a whole does not heal over night, and we're probably going to see deep national divides just based on what we saw in the votes.
Its going to be interesting if we see a shift in media messaging after Jan 20th.

Well I’m not a Presidential historian so it’s hard to compare him to others that were literal slave owners among other things. He’s the worst in my lifetime for sure. Terrible President, terrible human being.

9/11 was weird. It also catapulted Bush too. He was going to lose that election for sure.
Composure during perceived crisis makes even deeply flawed people look like capable leaders. Trump's moment was the Covid crisis. All he had to do was listen to the scientists and distribute Trump branded masks and the election would have been his.
Rudy and Bush both had the sense to pulled that off, Trump was such a man child he took a big crap on his silver platter.
