The fact that these remaining states didn't manage this better is a big reason why. If you can't complete counting for all of the states within a reasonably close timeframe, you shouldn't start counting in the first place. The longer the delays continue, the more hack-job the whole process starts to look, which ultimately fuels the conspiracy theorists.
Define reasonable. And of course all the ballots should be counted, no matter how long it takes. If anything, rushing just to satisfy people's desire for instant gratification opens the door for mistakes.
Besides, some of these states wanted to start counting earlier but were blocked by people afraid of what the mail in ballots will reveal.

After poking around a bit more this morning, I'll reiterate something I mentioned last night: I don't think it's possible any longer for us to make any accurate predictions based on the data set out in the various electoral tracking maps. Put simply, we're now at a level where the information is so granular that it defies extrapolation from known trends (i.e. we can't be sure that the estimated vote count percentages are at all accurate, or that they'll reflect prior voting proportions).
Basically, at this stage, we need to hear directly from the individual states themselves with respect to how many votes they have left to count, and what the nature of those votes are (mail-in, absentee, whatever). We can then take some educated guesses based on that, but any finer analyses are simply impossible now, IMO. Maybe a good AI program could take a decent run at it, but since I don't think the data is trustworthy (unless it comes from the horse's mouth) even those models risk being way off.

Regardless of the outcomes, tell me we wouldn’t all be abhorred if election workers could walk into a secured area with very large bags unchecked. And not just the fatty’s who might need a few supersizes meals and a roast chicken to get through their shift; that’s an awful lot of bags.
I’d be curious how that can be acceptable, by anyone?
I'm genuinely curious: does the reaction to this post make you self-reflect at all? Reassess your social media choices?
I'm continually baffled by the credulity given by otherwise intelligent people to conspiracy theories.

Another 4,000 in Georgia which is significant at this point.
The most recent Georgia batch of 4,000 resulted in a net of 700 for Biden (59%). Trump’s lead is 14,100 with an estimated 49,500 to go.

Anyone a bit underwhelmed that after 36 hours NV has only managed to count another 16,000.
But you do math in your head in a casino, best not linger more than an hour at a particular table, lest you find yourself buried in the desert by Joe Pesci.

I’m not a decision desk, but I suppose I think Nevada is on the verge of being callable at this point. Two-thirds of the state’s population is in Clark County and Biden is gaining big in Clark County! Not sure I see the route for a Trump comeback.
