Is there anyone who doubts that if you had Filoni and Favreau in charge of the Sequels, we would have three masterpieces that would compare to the originals?

Why oh why did Disney put that evil woman Kennedy in charge?

I don't know if I agree with that. Doing a TV show, versus doing a movie is a far different thing. I mean in comparison of just time, you can do a lot of character development in a TV series, in the ST you only really had 6 hours.

I'm a huge fan of Filoni, but remember that the original precurser to clone wars was the clone wars movie and it just wasn't that good (Puking Jabba's son was worse then Jar Jar.

The thing I think that worked in movies like ESB, that they seperated the story teller from the writer. The ST were influenced badly by KK, but there was no underlying linked story in these movies, the story itself was all over the map and the third movie was a panicked storyline because of that.

I have ya it's amazing, always recommending it to people who are fans of the show.

The technology they've developed is apparently going to be prominent in a long of Marvel/Star Wars productions moving forward.

Just seeing Filoni standing in the middle of the hyperspace effect was awesome. They found a technology that's perfect for Filoni as production is very much like animation features.

I think at the very least, if Filoni had creative input on the sequel series, it would have at least made sense. And it would have at least stayed true to the lore.

Pablo Hidalgo is the guy behind Filoni he's considered the master Lore expert at Lucas Films. His posts are amazing and all Lore goes through him.

Am I one of the few that found the first episode just a little underwhelming? Essentially a whole episode devoted to Mando getting his hands on an old, beat up Mandalorian armour. I hope this armour leads to something or the episode seems like a big filler episode. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed the episode as it was beautifully shot and the dragon was cool but it seemed like it didn't really progress the story much.

Its not really supposed to though.

The overall theme of The Mandalorian thus far has been exactly this...'Man with No Name' Spaghetti Western type of storyline where he has to resolve the 'Conflict of the Week.'

They added an over-arching storyline which is to deliver Baby Yoda back to his people, but this is what this show is.

Yeah, yeah, we all know that Boba Fett looks like a mid 1970s Sex Offender.

That man is on a Government List.

Well, I just assumed that the armor belongs to, or is going to be given to Boba Fett since they showed him at the end of that episode.

Not underwhelming at all.

This show isn't supposed to accomplish as much plot-wise as a movie does per episode. It's much smaller scope, and if you enjoy the universe and exploring it, then you probably enjoyed the episode immensely.

I enjoyed this week's installment less than the first one of this season, which was unreservedly excellent. It seemed more forced. Part of it was probably the run-time being shorter. Also, I may never be able to sleep again.

Not only is it what it is, it’s what makes it so great!

I loved the X-Wings and that one of the fighter pilots is Paul Sun-Hyung Lee from Kim's Convenience. Those pilots sure have great aim.

The Mandalorian, Episode 2: Police Discretion.

Seriously though good episode, I was really hoping he was on Illum, not sure if it said the name of the planet or not..

It's not Ilum. Ilum is in the Unknown Regions. They made it a point to mention that they were not using the hyperdrive because the eggs would not survive the trip, so it means that they're likely somewhere close to Tatooine still, and crashed on a nearby planet on the way to Trask.

On this map, Ilum is in the far NE corner of the unknown regions, whereas Tatooine is in the green section near the south east.
