Its probably still that high to be honest...how is Trump going to make up those votes on mail ballots in the urban centers?

Biden is currently over 68 M votes which in the history of the election is 2nd all time only trailing Obama’s 1st election (2008).

This was the ‘nightmare scenario’ that had experts concerned, yes?
- Race is too close to call on election night
- Trump is in the lead and declares himself the winner
- Mail-in votes continue to be counted and eventually put Biden in the lead
- Trump cries FIXED and the election goes to the SC to decide
Is that what’s actually happening?

Trump knew this had a chance so he tried to cover his butt by crying that he won and mail in ballots should not be counted. In my opinion, there is no shot the Supreme Court votes in his favor. Millions of Americans voted in their ballots and they have that constitutional right. Elections don’t get announced often on election night. Last election it took a few days for Arizona to get their official count in and Bush vs Gore took awhile with the absentee ballots (36 days or something officially).
It’s a cheap tactic regardless of the outcome.

One thing to take comfort in is it seems like no news organizations or pundits are accepting Trump’s claim of victory.
Hell, even Ben Shapiro said us was untrue and inappropriate to make that statement.
I saw someone, possibly Nate Cohn? Say this was the end of 2016 in reverse in molasses.

If Biden wins Michigan and Georgia it will be by the polls mail in votes are being counted with the totals at the same time. Wisconsin mail in ballots are counted separate, so yes mail in ballots could decide Wisconsin, but with 5 percent left to count. Biden still has the lead, and could win before the mail in ballots are added. As for Pennsylvania chances for that state to swing will be difficult but mail in ballots is Biden's only chance there.

Is AP way off or something?? Seems like Biden has a much larger lead on their counter with no other sources showing the same number.

Heh. It's possible this winds up 270 - 268.
That single EC vote (wherever that is) could be the difference.
I expect Biden wins a couple more, but

yeah I'm starting to get a bit more optimistic again. But the fact that after the last 4 years it's still a nail-biter is so depressing.

I'm going to be a nervous wreck for the next few days. I went to bed last night thinking that this was definitely going to be a Trump re-election, and now I'm not so sure, but he'll do whatever he can to try and steal what is going to end up being a close election, and that makes me more nervous than anything.
I'm pretty disappointed in Florida, especially the Miami-Dade voters who didn't come out for Biden in large enough numbers to carry the state. If that had gone a little differently we would be calling the election for Biden by the end of the day today. It just goes to show that if you call someone a socialist enough times people will believe it. Can you imagine if Bernie was the candidate instead? Trump landslide easily.

Looking forward to seeing a bit of a wave of positivity in a couple hours when everyone wakes up, given that most CP members are sleeping right now. Was all doom 'n' gloom while I was reading what was posted while I was sleeping.
Fingers crossed
