You can go back and remove thanks that can be reapplied somewhere more deserving

If Trump somehow wins it will likely be the biggest divide between electoral college and popular vote that the US has ever seen.

I don’t think the USA in its currents makeup will ever have an election where popular vote matters.

Kinda coming in late as I was driving much of the night and trying to avoid the drama as much as possible tonight. Anyone care to recap what is going on at this point? To me it looks like a worst case scenario is upcoming with another 4 years of the orange idiot.
Can someone talk me off the ledge?

So far only one state has flipped from 2016: Biden won Arizona. Trump hasn't made any gains, but the blue landslide we were hoping for has failed to materialize. The election could still go either way.
For key states, we are waiting on results from Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. All of those are too early to call as of this writing. There is an outside chance that Biden can flip Georgia once all the heavy-blue votes from the Atlanta area are counted.

Fox calls Minnesota for Biden, which mirrors the AP.
CNN: Biden 205, Trump 136
Fox News: Biden 237, Trump 210
MSNBC: Biden 205, Trump 136
Associated Press: Biden 223, Trump 145
Update on Arizona: it sounds like they haven't even counted the early ballots that were dropped off as opposed to being mailed in, which would suggest that the call was correct.

Biden landslide was a pipe dream.
Biden clear victory through Florida or Texas is off the table.
Trump is winning the usual suspect swing-states for the most part, but on the strength of rural and in-person votes which are reporting quicker (for the most part).
Biden still has a path to victory that may include Georgia and Pennsylvania, but they'll be come from behind victories.
In short, hold onto your butts...

If this blue tilt in Georgia happens, Biden really only needs one of the toss up midwest states and he could still pull it off. Even more so if this big mystery philly mail in count is real and goes Biden.
It'll be close either way

Fox retracted it's call that Biden won. Trump is pissed because he's blaming Fox for stopping him from declaring himself the winner tonight.

More and better paths for Biden, especially with Arizona and a very late count in heavily urban areas of Georgia. Rust belt continues to be the thing in all scenarios but Arizona and, especially, Georgia would give Biden some breathing room and force the Orange Shrieking Yam to run the rust belt. The rust belt, by the way, is heavily rural counted to this point with tons of urban vote still outstanding. The ledge can be safely retreated from until tomorrow.

Biden is actually favored now. But it keeps changing.
I think Biden needs only 2 of PA, GA, WI and MI. Please check I'm in bed almost asleep.

Seems to me to be a little closer than last time but no certainty yet. Trump scored some victories early on taking Florida and Ohio it appears, later in the eve Biden swung Arizona and a few states that could be pivotal are tightening (Georgia, Penn, NC, Michigan and Wisconsin all seem pretty unsettled with trump leads but urban and early votes still out in some cases that are expected to swing dem). Looks like it will go down to the wire.
Also, general comment, wtf is happening in North Carolina, it seems like they all went home and stopped counting with 300k votes to count? Has been frozen/barely moving count for a long time.

Biden is forecast to win Arizona.
He was a 2.6% favourite in Arizona if he wins all states he was favoured in by more than Arizona he wins the election
Biden still has a shot in Georgia. He was favoured by only .9%
So we are looking at about a 2-3 point polling error outside of Florida. With a 2-3% polling error Biden wins
It’s going to take 3 or 4 days.

Thanks for the recaps guys. Certainly disappointed to see its going to go down to the wire. More ammo for those that believe this will be litigated and taken to the supreme court I guess. ugh
I am amazed at how much real support there is for Trump down there. Crazytown.
